  After my bathroom faucet developed a steady leak, I reached out to my regular plumber to schedule service. Because of his unavailability, I looked locally for another plumber and came across Goode Plumbing in Chicago. Their reviews were overwhelmingly positive and I liked that they have a lifetime workmanship warranty. Scheduling my initial inspection included a $60 fee, which I was not particularly happy about, but they applied it to the total quote after I chose to use them for servicing the faucet. They attempted to repair the original faucet cylinders to stop the leak but it did not do the trick. We had to call them out twice to attempt to repair the original faucet. In the end, they recommended we switch out the entire faucet hardware, which we did. They installed the new faucet quickly without up-charging me more for their service and they were clean/polite/professional. Overall, happy with the work. Would I use them again? Perhaps....Their prices are a bit higher than others and I knew this when I first requested service, as I read other reviews from users who noted the same. But they were fast/responsive and they stand behind their work. 4 out 5 stars seems fair overall. Plus, my dog didn't bark once while they were here, so that says something!

  I called Goode this afternoon, and they had someone here within two hours to take a look at my water heater. Alex was quite personable (a pleasant surprise); he carefully inspected everything, assessed the situation, and gave me several scenarios of how to rectify the problem; all the pros, and all the cons. He was able to give me pricing on all scenarios and was knowledgeable about everything, even including financing and helping me to apply for it. That is NOT something that I would expect a plumber to assist me with, and left me quite impressed. I haven't yet made a final choice to go ahead with the job, but the experience I've had so far has been beyond excellent. This confirms all of the positive reviews of Goode Plumbing I’ve read in the past. It’s not just “so far, so good,” (no pun intended), but so far: great.

  Fantastic service and no price gouging. Leak resolved same day and no emergency pricing. Friendly and professional, Alex, Carlos, and the young apprentice with Carlos were professional and explained everything so a six-year-old could understand. Highly recommended and I now have a plumbing company I can depend on.
