This is the best service I have ever had anywhere. I had installed a ceiling fan but somehow I crossed up the wiring, I called here and spoke to Helen and the next morning before the appointment time, Doug came to fix the problem. He was polite, well groomed, and got the job done. Believe me the price was the best I was given from anyone to do handyman services. I will be using City Wide Handyman Services in Des Moines again for things I am unable to for myself now, I will ask for Doug whenever he is available. Making the payment on line was a breeze.

Great to work with! Got the job done quickly! I reached out to many other companies that either never returned the call or couldn't fit me in for the work. City Wide Handyman was very easy to work with, highly recommend!

I scheduled an appointment for a technician to come replace our storm door. I was told the appointment would be one week later on Thursday, June 27 at 3P. We made arrangements for my husband to be home. At 3:30P no one had arrived and I called to inquire if they were running late. I was told they would call the owner to see and call me back. 45 minutes later, when no one had called me, I called back and was told they didn’t know what happened and could we reschedule. I asked for the first available as we had already waited a week. I was told that one of their new technicians would come Friday, June 28 between 1-3P. He would be replacing a motor prior to this time which can vary how long it takes so he would call when he was headed over. At 3:15P on Friday, we had received no call and no technician had shown up. Again, I called into Citywide and was told that they would call him and call me back with the estimated time. No one ever called. I called them back four times and left messages - none of which were returned. Absolutely abysmal customer service. How can they be in business and operate like this?

We had to let 2 people go this week. We were trying to have a new receptionist answer the phone literally on her first 2 days on the job. I am sorry of the lack of communication. It is very hard to find people that want to work for a living which is what we were dealing with and several jobs were missed on Thursday and Friday due to these issues. We are currently working through them and we are sorry for the inconvenience.
