Al responded fast. Actually it was a funny story, I left my phone at home so he thought I was ignoring him. I didn't get home until 6 something pm. I texted him and he quoted me a price, which I thought was fair. He told me to check around for prices but I didn't want my tenant to wait for a long time not to have heated water so I asked him if he has any opening. My regular plumber guy can't do it until next week. Al just happened to have an opening the next morning. So I told him to contact my tenant and set it up. I called him the next morning and we talked over the phone on my way to work. Seems like a solid guy, so I went with my guts and give him the job. It does take a couple of days to get the receipt with the warranty but I understand. We all got busy at times. I'm just hoping that if I actually need the warranty, he'll come through. Hopefully this will be a good start of a working relationship.

FAIR WARNING: If you value accountability, professionalism, and trustworthiness in a business, then you should look elsewhere. If you choose to go with All About Water Heaters, then you should hope that no problems arise, because All About Water Heaters will deny responsibility, deflect issues, and delay resolutions. Spend the extra money and look elsewhere for peace of mind. All About Water Heaters replaced our water heater during the last quarter of last year. They told us over the phone and stated on the invoice (which took a week to send) that labor warranty and a permit would be included. Neither of which were fulfilled. Issues arose after installation, and we contacted All About Water Heaters multiple times. They told us that they will return and check, but each time they did not show up—each time there was another excuse: separate appointments, personal issues, etc. All About Water Heaters gradually began to delay responses and stopped taking calls as well. All About Water Heaters would eventually only communicate via text (which were essentially pointless as All About Water Heater’s responses would take upwards 2 weeks). We eventually filed a complaint with The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners who informed All About Water Heaters of the case. The investigator assigned to our case noted that All About Water Heaters seemed adamant about resolving the issues. Even upon being briefed and updated on the situation, All About Water Heaters had made no substantial and no meaningful attempt to respond to us to rectify the issues. With the board’s assistance, All About Water Heaters finally filed a permit—months after the installation. At one point, All About Water Heaters texted us to ask if the issues were still occurring. When told that the issues were still occurring and asked about what will be done to help us, we were met with another lapse of no response from All About Water Heaters. All messages with time lapses had read receipts on them as well. The board determined these violations: evading responsibility to a client, failing to timely obtain a plumbing permit, willfully or negligently installing a plumbing system that was not compliant with applicable plumbing codes, and failing to properly provide one or more items required for proper disclosure of the Board’s regulatory oversight. The board helped come to a resolution for some restitution. Even then, All About Water Heaters did not contact us, but subsequently showed up unannounced about three months ago, mentioning they were here a few times the days prior. A simple call to schedule a time to meet would have addressed this. When confronted about the situation in person, they were reluctant to provide an explanation. They dismissed recalling their poor communication and deflected the issues onto their team and external factors. They could not even answer why they told us they would revisit to check on the unit which they installed but ultimately did not. The restitution was essentially a refund. A simple resolution that could have been met long ago, especially if All About Water Heaters could not and/or would not return to check their work, regardless of the circumstances. This would have been the bare minimum of sensibility and professionalism, but, unfortunately, this was a bar too high for All About Water Heaters. Proceed with caution if you decide to work with All About Water Heaters. But, as a suggestion, and in your best interest, you should look elsewhere.
