Called on New Year's eve afternoon after our alarm went off because our pump was dead. Answered the phone right away, tried the rest of the day to get us in, calling back every time they said they would. Said they'd check in today, after the holiday, and first thing this morning called, a truck was on its way. Excellent cheerful customer service, and the technicians were great. Will use them again, for sure (but I hope it won't be for a while!).

Speedy septic lived up to their name. They were fast about pumping the septic and replacing a sump pump. It was a difficult job as the sump pump is in a tight spot. I was very happy when they returned and corrected the sewer smell problem. I do feel that old caulking should be removed before resealing the top. I believe that is very basic knowledge. My renters sent me pictures of old caulking sticking out of the top and breaking the new seal. I do live out of state and my renters didn't complain about the smell right away because they thought the smell was from the dish washer as the pump went out on it about the same time. I was told that the repair charges would be another $225.00 service call and $175.00 an hour. Once I posted my unhappy review I was called within minutes to say they would be out to repair what should have been done in the first place. I understand when mistakes are made. I respect a company if they own their mistakes rather than give excuses. I would have given a 5 star if they would have simply apologized for the old caulking sticking out of the lid after they resealed it. My time is worth money too and it took multiple phone calls to speedy septic office, my renters and consulting with several other plumbers and sharing pictures. I put about 5 hours into taking care of this. 175.00 an hour times 5 is $875.00. I recommend keeping better track of your employees and have them send pictures of there work. Pictures speak 1000 words. Can't deny poor workmanship with pictures.

Hello Lynette - I am very sorry you are disappointed in the service you recieved from us back in September. I was hoping based on the phone call our office had with you earlier that you would be happier with our solution to come back out at no charge this Friday and see what more we could do to help. I just wanted to clarify, our one-year warranty covers our workmanship and the parts we installed - in this case, the pump itself and the pumping of the sewage - which according to your tenants has been working properly since we were there in Sept. Where your pump is located is in a tight spot indeed, and unfortunately, we can only work with the circumstances we are provided with. We attemped to re-seal the lid as best we could, but in order to do a more thorough job, we would have needed to tear into your cabinet more and with you living outside of the state and not on site to approve such action, we didn't feel comfortable doing so. Due to the location of the sewage ejection pump basin being under the cabinet in the kitchen like it is, once that seal is broken for service, there will be an odor unless torn completely open and re-configured and although we would expect it to have an odor for a short period of time after pumping due to the agitation of the septic materials, it is quite odd to not have that odor show up until two months later - which is the reason we would rather let you know, just in case, the possible charges for us to come back and take another look if the reasons for the odor are not due to our lack of workmanship or bad parts. We always try to be open and forthright about any possible charges you might have, rather than surprise a customer on site. I would also like to clarify that our pricing for this project covered the pumping, travel time, labor, materials and all taxes to pump septic and do business in your county. Please feel free to contact the Office Manager at 541.298.1943 if you would like to discuss this further. Thank you, Lynette
