Our high velocity system installed by Sila has been great— cools quickly and dehumidifies. This spring we had our annual service performed by Carlos Reed. Carlos was knowledgeable and professional, taking time to explain the items he was servicing during his visit.

They installed a high velocity A/C system around five years ago. The work was done quickly and efficiently. We've had them back twice a year to maintain our A/C and hot water heating systems. Great people to do business with. Very responsive when we needed repairs.

Disappointed: My system was short cycling, so I asked to get someone out as soon as possible because the house was cold in Feb. The tech told me that I would need to replace the gas value that would cost upward of $800 because the flame was uneven and the valve could be damaged causing the issue. Not knowing much, I said that makes sense. As he finished, he mentioned that the circuit board could also be bad and that the $800 + repair may not solve the problem, and I may need them to come back out, but the circuit boards are on back order so its best to start with the gas valve. That was my red flag - he was already laying the groundwork to charge me more and do more work but not much I could do at that point. I understand the circuit board was on back order but see below. He also charged me $100 for the service call, but the website had a $100 coupon for repairs over a certain amount. I guess I didn’t specifically mention to apply the coupon. And, on the way out, he stuck Sila advertising stickers on my HVAC outside and my duct in the basement. Needless to say, I took these off and covered one that wouldn’t come off in the basement duct. Sure to what he had promised, the system kept short cycling. This time, I called another company closer to my home. The new tech asked why the circuit board wasn’t the starting point since it wasn’t reporting an error and clearly there was an error. So, I had the new company replace the circuit board and a pressure valve. It took two days to get the circuit board. Sure enough, Sila called a week after the second repair to see if I wanted to get my circuit board repaired (unspoken but clear that they new it would be out). Haven’t returned the call and would not recommend their service. System is working great because of the other HVAC company - not Sila. I hope the $930 was worth this review. Best of luck.
