We first discovered Rudd Plumbing at a time when we had problems with a water heater and we needed prompt assistance before the leak became serious. We called Rudd after a friend recommended them. And it was true. Rudd did give prompt service, removed the old water heater, and replaced it with a new one. Same day service! They cleaned up any mess and all began functioning perfectly. So when the kitchen faucet sprang a leak this year, we called Rudd Plumbing and set a time for them to come. They arrive on time and replaced the leaky kitchen faucet right away. They also discovered a leaky pipe under the sink and it also needed replacement. Again, the workmanship was outstanding and the problem was resolved efficiently. We were quite pleased with their work, that they were prompt, did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves. We knew we would again call Rudd Plumbing when we needed them and they would promptly take care of the problem.

Rudd plumbing was called out to our location to assess and repair a potentially broken sewer line in mid December. During his initial visit, their plumber argued that we could not possibly have our sewer service provided by East Texas Mud, even after providing receipts for our service fees, claiming that East Texas Mud only provides water services. This led to a two hour wild goose to prove our services were provided by East Texas Mud, even after locating and showing the plumber the man-hole/ sewer access point provided. After two visits and almost $2,000 we are still in the same position we were in before. On top of them being unable to find or fix our clog, they attempted to bill us an additional $2,000 for damages their plumber did to their water jet machine during his second visit, although they also broke and improperly repaired our sewer clean out in the process (that cleanout is now leaking and didn't prior to Rudd attempting to jet the lines). By the end of the day, Rudd had 6+ plumbers on the ground trying to get their water jet out of a sewer clean out; needless to say, this was obviously quite a sight to see from a "professional plumbing company". Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, Rudd plumbing lacks the experience and customer service variables required of a professional plumbing service and should be used with extreme caution.

Mr. Stroman, We understand your frustration with the situation of your sewer line, but there are several inaccuracies in your review. Our technician was dispatched at 12:30pm on 12/17/2021 and he arrived with his helper at 12:45pm. He located the proper access to run the sewer jetter to unclog the stoppage. Our crew began running the jetter approximately 200' down line and cleared the line as proper flow was visible through the access points. Upon retrieving the jetter from the line the hose was snagged by a bad spot in the line, which was also the probable location of the initial stoppage. The hose would not retrieve out of the line under the jetter's own power, so an additional crew was dispatched to help retrieve the hose. This additional crew was not charged to the customer, but with both 2 man crews and their supervisor present they were unable to retrieve the hose. Our crew then attached the hose to their truck to pull it out of the line. We've used this technique many times over the years to get a hose out when all other options have been exhausted. The truck was successful in removing the hose from the line, but the hose was destroyed in the process. Also, In the process of doing this the top of the pvc cleanout was broken. The broken cleanout was replaced at no additional charge to the customer. All systems were draining properly with no stoppages present. The call was completed at 4:30pm Falcon Trailer Works was billed $832.44 for this service, not $2000. Rudd Plumbing never requested Falcon Trailer Works pay $2,000 for the jetter hose, nor was a bill for that cost ever sent to Falcon Trailer Works. Rudd Plumbing has only been on site working on the plumbing system at Falcon Trailer Works once, and the only amount Falcon Trailer Works has been billed is the $832.44 for the jetting of the line, which was successful. It should be noted that jetting a line is just the first step in making a complete repair in many cases. Often times there is a reason the line was clogged, which in this case was likely due to the damaged section that caught our jetter hose. If this section remains unrepaired the clog will could reoccur. It is the customer's decision if they want to proceed with diagnosis or wait to see if the problem reoccurrs. The customer called us on 12/28/2021 with another clog. Unfortunately at this point our jetter was inoperable, because the hose was destroyed and we were still waiting on the replacement hose to ship to our office. Without a functioning jetter, we were going to be unable to clear the stoppage. Without clearing the stoppage, we would be unable to camera the line to pin point the exact location of the break. This is necessary so we could excavate an exact location instead of digging up their entire sewer line, which is a large cost difference. Our Customer Service Rep informed the customer that we would be unable to return until out jetter was operational, and explained the process described above that was necessary to make a proper repair. The customer was frustrated with her, which is understandable. We told them we would prioritize their repair as soon as our jetter was operational. At no point was Falcon Trailer Works billed more than the initially agreed price of $832.44 for jet the line. Again, we are sorry that the hose got caught, but unfortunately with damaged sewer lines this happens. It is rare, but it does happen. Please feel free to reach out to our office if you would like to discuss this with a supervisor. (903)593-7833

I had a crew from Rudd Plumbing at my house to look at my water heater. They told me that my heater was 17 years old and explained how they could repair it or replace it with a more efficient heater. They gave me pricing for each option and didn't pressure me to pick the more expensive full replacement option. I asked them a lot of questions and the tech was so nice to explain everything so I could understand. I chose to go ahead and replace the water heater. They took extra time and care to make sure they covered their work area and left the closet cleaner than when they arrived. Both guys were so respectful. I can not say enough good things about them. They have EARNED a customer for life!
