      Scheduled heater maintenance With Ricks at a rental property. Tenet came home to no heat, after Ricks had preformed “tuneup”. Called Ricks to get it fixed was told there was no charge for the cleaning and to call someone else to get it repaired. We never had a problem with the furnace. We scheduled the cleaning a month ago. He left oil soaked rags in the basement. Now I have tenets with no heat at 8pm. that are going to a hotel. On the coldest night this year so far.

      This review is mostly true, Now Facts, This customer scheduled a Routine cleaning on their oil Furnace with a coupon special we have out for $89.00, We came out late morning , The Furnace was running upon arrival, Note: Furnace is over 40 years old! But has been maintained, We did a basic cleaning: Vacuum chamber, Flue pipe, flue box and chimney base, Tune-up, New oil filter and Nozel. Restart burner, check for carbon monoxide. Unit was running as normal when we left. NOTE: I brought in 1 Rag, and left with 1 Rag, WE WOULD NEVER LEAVE OIL SOAKED RAGS in a customer home or trash! Customer called at 7pm and said there was no heat, our oil guy went home sick at noon and we could not get anyone else out that night, our office told the customer since we had not sent a bill for the cleaning, that we would not charge them anything because they would have to call someone else to look at it. IT was the customers choice to put their tenant into a Hotel instead of calling out another company because they were worried about a late night service charge. They declined to have us out the next day even though they waited to them to hire someone else?!?!?! You cant please everyone........ Even when the service was FREE

      Due to a recommendation,I called Ricks&plumbing,heating and cooling.When I inquired to get a quote,I fully disclosed that my job(fully gutted house) was a big job which required full rough in and asked were they currently accepting big jobs.I was told YES,and we made the appointment for an quote/estimate. I received a visit from Rick himself mid NOVEMBER 2021.Rick was very friendly and appeared to be very knowledgeable.I enjoyed the education he provided during the visit and was very excited to hire him and his company to do my rough in work among other things.Before he left,He told me,I would be sent an estimate the following week, once approved, they can obtain the permit and do the job. After about two weeks past and I didn’t see an email of an estimate,I reached out to the office.I spoke to Brett&Just like Rick,He was very nice,apologized,and explained things have been very busy for them the last few weeks which is normal for the season.I totally understood and explained,If Rick cannot do the job,I understand and I will just go with 1 of the other 3, plumbing companies I also received a quote/estimate from.Brett expressed that Rick was still very much interested and asked me to give them another week to prepare estimate.During that conversation we also made an appointment to weatherize my house sometime DECEMBER. Keep in mind,I already have three other estimates, but really wanted to hire Rick as he knew more about older houses and his office is really close to my home.Unfortunately I caught Covid towards the end of DECEMBER and had to cancel our Weatherlization appointment, however I still wanted to be serviced when I got better, and still had not received a rough in estimate. JANUARY 2022 came,I was better and still didn’t receive an estimate.My contractor is now pressing for me to make the final decision on who I was using for plumbing.I reached out to Brett (Ricks office staff)in JANUARY 2022, expressed my disappointment of not receiving estimate as promised.Again,he was very apologetic and asked me to please give them one more chance and I’ll have a quote next week. Well It is now FEBRUARY 2022,& I still don’t have an estimate.I am highly disappointed because I really wanted to hire Rick,but things didn’t work out due to inconsistent follow ups/estimate as promised.I came to MY OWN conclusion that my job was too big for them and I truly wished they would have expressed this instead of wasting my time.

      Rick’s is amazing. The whole team is professional, highly responsive, and skilled. We’ve now used them many times for both plumbing and HVAC at two different homes. We’d recommend them a 1000%! Great value and honest and always go the extra mile in work and customer service. Rick also takes the time to educate you on an issue, giving great tips and advice to help you make informed decisions. They truly care about their customers. So glad we found them and will continue to use them for all our plumbing and HVAC needs.
