I called Qualtire because our Lochinvar boiler system was malfunctioning. The screen on the unit suggested I call Qualtire because they installed the system and they are the manufacturing service provider for our area. I described the situation. We did not have hot water. I asked if they could come out to service the unit. He told me that they do not work on heating units in the Spring, only the Fall. I asked if I could get him to make time to service it, since we did not have hot water. He said he did not think so but would put me on a list and he might get to it in a few weeks, but no guarantee. I told him what work we have done on it since we moved in the house. He suggested I call the service provider I had been using. I wanted to give him an opportunity to earn a new customer. I told him I was dumbfounded that he was not interested in my business and was pushing me away as a potential customer. He told me that I was not a "customer" of his. I found the whole interaction to be unprofessional, negative and yet amusing. Wow!

    Response from the owner

We are very sorry Mr. Pflug had an unpleasant experience with our company, this is never our intent. Mr. Pflug had called and asked if we could service his high efficiency boiler as the red, “Service Reminder” screen had come up on the units display board. This display comes up once a year to remind the homeowner that the unit needs service. This is a unit we had installed several years ago for the previous owner. We informed Mr. Pflug that we do not typically do boiler or furnace servicing in the Spring but, in the Fall, prior to the heating season. We also informed Mr. Pflug that our schedule for regular service or maintenance work was about two weeks out due to cooling season start-ups for regular customers. We do not recall any mention made of “having no hot water”. We try to make every effort to help in an emergency situation. This unit supplies hot water for the heating system and domestic hot water. Mr. Pflug had informed us that he had used two different contractors to work on this system since he had purchased this house. We recommended he call one of those contractors, as maybe they could service his unit sooner. We have never worked for Mr. Pflug in the past and it has been at least two years since we have serviced the unit for the previous owner. Mr. Pflug was apparently upset that we would not help him immediately and that we “did not want the business” from a potential new customer. We have always put a high priority on our existing, regular customers and try to work other calls into the schedule as best possible. We hope Mr. Pflug was able to resolve his issue.

Outstanding HVAC home service and repair. Our AC was not working properly. Dan diagnosed the problem - low refrigerant and clogged filters on the compressor. Explained everything.

    Response from the owner

Thank you Mr. Hill. My pleasure to be of service.
