Do NOT have them do any plumbing work for you! Very shifty people. Wanted a $39 dispatch fee. I get that. But then $99 an hour for service. $450 to replace an OU flange for a toilet($25 fix at hardware). Then to drop a one piece toilet, that’s an extra $300. As I was discussing this service with my husband, I advised the technician to wait for my decision. We decided to do the work ourselves and save all that money. By the time I came back to advise him no thanks... he installed and started the work anyway! He looked up at me and told me it would be $500. I advised him to uninstall what he did and to get out of my house! He then tried to charge us for the install he started without my permission. I told him to leave immediately or I would call police. I called his supervisor, Eric. Eric state’s he should have never started the work without a signature from me. I am still confused by what happened. Please don’t trust this company.

I had a hot water heater that wasn't heating up the water much. I checked it and the pilot light was on and staying lit, but it would only attempt to heat the water for about 3 minutes. I called The Pipe Doctor and gave the rep all the information. She got the make and model, the size of the tank, what the problem was, and when it was purchased. Said a repair tech would be out. One of the techs showed up about 1:30, took basically one look at the water heater, did not take off the cover to even see if the pilot was lit or attempt to adjust the temperature setting. I gave him all the info I had already given the rep who took my call. The tech said he would not be able to do it today but that I'll need to get it replaced. Given that the tank was 9 years old and had been out of warranty for 3 years, cost to fix would be almost as much as a replacement. Mind you he had already told me he would not be able to do it that day. I had to pay him for a trip charge ($140) for 30 seconds of 'work', all of which could have been told to me over the phone. I had taken the day off work to get this done and would have to take another to have it actually done. There was nothing he did or information gathered by being there that had not already been told to the person who took my service call. I called around several other plumbers to find out price of replacement and when I called Fry Heating and Cooling, the gentleman I spoke with asked if I had well water out where I lived. I told him it is ground water, but treated by the village. He suggested I hook a hose up to the water heater and drain off about 5 or 10 gallons from the bottom to see if I had any sediment built up and that could cause issues heating the water. Boy did I. I flushed out until the water ran clear. Voila! When the water heater kicked on, it stayed running for a while. It now heats up the water so well, I had to turn down the thermostat a bit. Any plumber worth his salt should have known to check something so simple, not just try to get a sale for a brand new water heater out of you. BEWARE OF THESE GUYS! Shifty tactics in my opinion. It could only be one of two things at play here. 1) They were incompetent and didn't know to check something like that or 2) they were trying to gouge out another sale. Not much room between.

In the habit of using employees short term. Luring them in with high pay rate. Cash for the 1st week. Then working new employees with the promise of multiple week upcomming paycheck.. Which never comes until employee eventually realizes theyve been working 'for free' at which time any attempt thats made towards receiving over fue pay: is met with "we never received any of your paperwork'/ theres NO evidence you worked for us. Thanks for the free labor! ..& on to the next poor sap to be conned
