Last week,Jeremy#983 came to our home at Gateway Greens to perform our yearly plumbing inspection.He was extremely knowledgeable, professional & nice. Robert J. (Tech #1038) did the annual maintenance on our A/C system yesterday (February 15).  He called ahead to let us know when he would arrived and did a very professional job of performing the service.  In addition to being knowledgeable, he was very courteous.  Great experience!

SCAM. My parents were home-tech customers for 20 years. Got conned into buying an air conditioner with "lifetime warranty". It had to be completely replaced multiple times. Broke again while my mom was dying of cancer. Were told that we had to pay for parts because "if you read the fine print the lifetime warranty only lasts 10 years". I paid to fix it because my mom would have been heartbroken to learn she got scammed. Never do business with HomeTech!!

We are sorry to hear if there was any miscommunication. Naturally, no manufacturers offer a "lifetime warranty" that covers everything forever. There are limited "lifetime" coverages for specific things, but that's it. Other features of some of these warranties cover parts up to 10 years, which is really useful. Most systems in Florida don't make it too long past 10 years. Also, these warranties are from the manufacturer and are not decided by Home-Tech. This is why we recommend a Service Agreement with us to cover a lot of the things that are missed from the manufacturer warranties.

We wouldn't be a highly reviewed and recommended company in SWFL for over 40 years if we were scamming people. I hope if you have any further questions you will reach out to us. We'd be happy to clear anything up.

Called Home Tech this April for a clothes washer problem.  Told person on phone the water mixing inlet valve was leaking after the load finished.  Gave the model and serial number and asked that the tech bring valve with so to save time and money.  Lady responded they need to do their own diagnostics and it would be $169 for first 30 minutes.  Tech Arrived a few days later, came in the house, I explained the problem and he said “yep, it’s the valve”.  I said “aren’t you going to do any investigating to make sure”.  Answer, “don’t need to, only thing it can be……that will be $169 for the call…..I’ll order the part”.  He was here 3 minutes total!  That’s $56.33 per minute!!!  I asked if that applied to the fix when part came?   Answer, NO!

Two days later received a call from Home Tech.  Do you want us to order the part?  How much is it?  Total is $356.  How much is the part?  Can’t tell you, we bundle the charges.  I had already priced the part at Macrone’s and retail price was $38…..so labor was $320.00….  Total invested with diagnostic charge $525 for a $38 part.  Because they would not tell me the part cost, I said forget it.

Call it Highway Robbery, scam, bad business, poor customer service, non disclosure of honest pricing, price gouging ….do not call this company. Why won’t they tell you the price of parts and labor separate?  Why a $169 trip charge when you told them what’s needed and for just 3 minutes?

Thank you for providing feedback. It is our policy that we only provide parts for issues we have diagnosed ourselves and that we do not order parts based on the diagnosis of someone else. When you scheduled the service, it was made clear that $169 was the charge for sending out a tech as well as up to 30 minutes of diagnosing and labor, which you agreed to prior to the tech coming out. Garrett #1036 serviced our AC yesterday morning per our maintenance agreement with Home-Tech and did an excellent job. Called in advance of arrival with an expected ETA, arrived on time, serviced our AC, gave us a verbal and written summary, and moved on to his next assignment. Well mannered, professional and polite gentleman. Exactly what I would expect from a good professional technician. My compliments.

We just had Seth out to do our AC annual service. He did an excellent job! He was very thorough in checking the system and fixing a few issues at the same time. We have been with Home-Tech for years, and many times the experience is just not what it should be. But ask for Seth to be your AC Tech you wont regret it!

First used Home-Tech to repair an LG fridge, which apparently few companies will do in our area. They came out on Thanksgiving and got it working that day. We signed up for an annual home warranty plan. They've been servicing our appliances and AC for 7 years. They come out same day or next day, even on Sundays. Most recently tech "Gabriel 970" got our AC working by flushing the drain. It takes a lot of stress away to have one company that can handle all of our appliances.
