  Had a leaky water heater and request a new one. Turns out I paid $1,200 for it and it came with a damaged floor that the owner chose not to take responsibility for. Told me bad flooring is to blame for (sure it can!) but so is bad labor to blame for. Never took responsibility which leads me to warn others. When I asked that his employee tell us if there was cracked floor before he arrive he told me “he will likely not remember that” but somehow his employee remembers the made-up story of us supposedly taking water out of the catch pan (surrounding the water heater) although that’s so inaccurate as we greeted him at the door and went straight to our living room. In the image you can clearly see the water damage was done outside of the heater area (area where the cracked floor is, away from heater) and it’s the same area where I saw the repair guy had a bucket full of water and later saw him picking up water with a large towel. It’s during costumer complaints that you can see a company / owners values and there was zero empathy or trying to understand from their part which likely makes me assume this is not the first time they’ve dodged fixing their own mistakes. During the call I mentioned I would be writing this review which after the call he followed up with an email trying to find a resolution (finally) which was to get our insurance involved (so it will go up more for us?) and threatened me with saying I am causing defamation. Which is not. It’s my experience — you can make your own opinion about them from my review and the rest of them.

  We were called to replace a leaking, yes, leaking water heater which had saturated the floor and subfloor surrounding the heater prior to arrival. The picture clearly shows the amount of damage. This is not from water dripping off a heater while we removed it. Apparently, and unbeknown to the customer, the leak had caused damage days before we were called. The drying process, well after we left, is when the damage became visible as the flooring started to delaminate. We do not lack empathy; we simply should not be blamed for something that we did not do or be threatened with poor reviews for not offering to replace your dad’s floor. His insurance company will make the decision as to what caused the damage and if we are found to be the cause we will happily and promptly take corrective measures. I hope this better explains the circumstances regarding the leaking heater and the conclusions you have come to.

  Our water heater stopped working. I called Gen3 and John helped me evaluate the situation to determine if my old unit was worth repairing. No pressure, just helped lay out our options. For me, it was time to install new. Once the decision was made, they scheduled the service, arrived when they said they would and completed the job. They did it right, no cut corners, you look at the finished job and you can tell things were done by a professional. Straight, level, nothing looking like patchwork. They cleaned up the space, took the old heater and all old parts, debris etc. away, you could hardly tell they were there, the guys were great! Very happy with my experience.
