  We needed a couple of repairs done on our house before putting it on the market. After shopping and some letdowns from other contractors, we found Fortress Of God Handyman Services. He promised us quality service. He was reliable, assuring, empathetic, and responsive from start to finish on the home project. I recommend this gentleman to anyone looking for work done beyond standard and willing to accommodate customer needs.

  Please don't make the mistake that I did believing that this contractor is a decent person because of the name. He did several services for me, and almost all of them need to be redone. He was extremely unreliable and left work unfinished for months. It still is not finished. I've had SEVERAL different ppl come to my home to try and fix the issues and they all said the work was SO bad that they wouldn't be able to come behind him to finish or repair. He also charged me to dispose of things that I later caught him trying to sell on FB marketplace! This is what he's done for me all in 2021: Ramp installation: Ramp is not even a year old and is leaning and boards are warping because of incorrect installation. Not very safe or effective for a wheelchair bound person. Barn door installation: doors swing in and out on the track He spray painted the barn doors on my concrete walkway without using anything underneath so there is WHITE PAINT that won't come off. Bathroom: mirrors hung crooked, vinyl plank floor separating, toilet installed incorrectly, sink in vanity leaking, tiles in shower crooked and sloppily places, grout EVERYWHERE, & he left the work undone telling me he had death in family on 2 occasions. The work is still unfinished from MAY 2021. It will take thousands of dollars to repair all of the mistakes. I lost money on labor AND materials by trusting him with this work. One contractor that came by actually said he felt that this guy was just practicing on my home, and I'm inclined to agree.

When you called me on phone and told me you will do this, it scared me and I came to your house to see what you wanted me to do and you told me it has been fixed so I left. I feel much better knowing that I satisfied many other people who have testified to my reliability. I told you to pay me for each job I finish and that’s what you did. What I didn’t do, you didn’t pay for and if you didn’t confirm it, you won’t pay. Again thanks.

  Ed did a great job framing and making a latch for our attic space. He did great work and is a very nice guy. We will definitely be using him again in the future!
