We have been using Carroll Water for well over 10 years.  In addition to a yearly service, they had previously installed a new pressure tank and chemical injection feeder.  All of the technicians who have come over have been friendly, knowledgeable, and done a very good job.  Yesterday, Greg came to our house and we found him to be extremely nice and did our service without any problems.  I would not hesitate to recommend Carroll Water Systems to anyone looking to service their well.  They have been excellent to work with, both in sales and service.

This was my first interaction needing an acid neutralizer re-bed and refresh so I called around for quotes. I figured this type of service to be a pretty regular occurrence and pricing to be easy to quote. $250-300 okay great!
When it came time to pay it was over 120$ higher than the top margin on the quote. When I called to dispute before paying they said oh, we forgot labor sorry, we can't help. How do you forget an hour of labor? I will be going with my quote from Atlantic Blue next time.
I must say the service guys however were very nice and accommodating while I worked on this issue and did a great job with their work.

EDIT- A few hours later I received a call-back from Carroll Water extending a refund to return the cost down to their original quote window and apologized. I really appreciate this kind of professional response. Thanks again Carroll Water! 4-stars

I started working for Carroll Water about 6 months ago and recently I came across one and only one Google+ review that wasn't very favorable.  That's unfortunate because the people that I've had the pleasure of working with over these last few months have been nothing but passionate about what they do and the service I've seen offered to their customers has surpassed my expectations. Everyday I watch and listen as the phone rings and loyal long-time customers call asking for our Techs by name to go over and take care of their kids, and their parents.  And it seems like on a weekly basis we get a call from one of our customers begging us to go service their vacation property hours away because after trying several other companies they can't seem to find anyone that knows what they're doing or that they trust. From what I can tell the Carroll Water Customer base is impressive with somewhere between 5000-10000 residential and commercial customers in Central Maryland and names of some of those business and residential customers reads like a who's who of Maryland. It appears their customers come from all walks of life and income brackets and seems like most of them are well educated and well informed.  I don't think they can all be wrong?    I've also learned that Carroll Water only works with manufacturing companies that build high quality products.  They can sell "builder grade" and "plumbing grade" products but in most cases choose not to because they want long term customers that will be happy for many years to come with their equipment and servicing.  Everyone knows there is a cost associated with quality and great service and I suppose it's true that you can buy some other products at a cheaper cost but from what I've seen so far - the difference in their craftsmanship, lifespan, warranties and the servicing isn't comparable.   Do yourself a favor, call Carroll Water next time you're shopping for Water Treatment.  We can send you a list of the top 10 things to consider while you're shopping and then find out for yourself if they're a great deal or not.   I wouldn't trust my water to anyone else and neither should you.

This company is professional, not pushy and our water tastes amazing! Now when we drink tap water in other places, we can taste the chlorine. I was impressed with the person that visited and tested our water. He was very knowledgeable and explained the results quite easily. Unlike cable companies and other companies, he was willing to meet with us after work. I recommended this company to a few people-totally worth it for our family. No more Brita water! We have had this water for about a year now.

I just want to thank you for your excellent service,   I have had so much troubles for my well system . From the beginning, when Austin gave me a estimate for my third time installation of  well system,  he was very nice and go extra miles to  explain all the options.
Lastly, Carlos Salazar and his associate showed up at 9am, and finished around 2pm.
I gave thumps up for Carlos and his partner professionalism..
They did a wonderful job!!!!

Year or so ago this company comes out to services our water system and the technician states he cannot service all of our equipment but does not give a reason as to why. This time around I contact the company and the lady I speak to is very nice and states she doesn't know why the technician said that and they can for sure service all of our equipment...states she will make sure she sends out technicians that are capable of servicing the specific equipment we have. Said technicians come out and once again state they cannot service our specific equipment because it would be "like an optometrist trying to perform heart surgery"...you specialize in water, don't you? Instead I get a 45 minute sales pitch, I am told that the only thing they can do for me since they cannot service my equipment is to install new equipment for roughly $6,000, "are you okay to get that started today"? Uhh no, I don't have 6k lying around for you to jump on that today. I state multiple times that this is not an option for me, could they please point me in the right direction then to someone who can help me...they then give me a sermon about how they cannot do this because "that would be promoting competition". Why? If you don't have the capabilities as a water systems company to service my water system, then just tell me who can...either way you are losing my business. But they didn't want to go that route, they wanted to sell me the equipment they promote and state they "don't want to lose me as a customer because they are the best, they have 4.8 stars". Moving on...I get the bill...I get charged an hours’ worth of labor even though they did 10 minutes of work and spent the rest of their "hour" trying to sell me stuff. I speak to the service manager, who is nice and resolves a couple of our concerns, states he will try to figure out how to help us get our system serviced but never got back to us. He also stated that what I got charged for labor was their flat rate for "up to an hour". Pretty outrageous to charge almost $200 for 10-15 minutes of work.

While all of the above is frustrating I can get over it and move on, I pay my bill in full, not gonna argue about it and waste my time...but what is even more frustrating is that I requested a water test to be done SPECIFICALLY on the drinking water while they were there on their service call. They decide to take the sample from our filthy utility sink...it comes back high for a certain bacteria and I am given the recommendations of how to fix this, recommendations costing hundreds more dollars. I speak to the service manager again and state I am disappointed and would like the test to be re-done at a location other than the dirty utility sink to confirm this before shelling out more money. Service manager states he will look into it and get back to me...he never does...so my wife calls to follow up and the lady she speaks with is rude and condescending, stating it doesn't matter where the water was taken from, we have a problem that needs addressed immediately. Okay, maybe it doesn't? But maybe it does? Unsure I contact a different water company to come do a test of our water...and GUESS WHAT??? It came back negative for any bacteria and nothing needs to be done to our well. Get the picture here??? They only care about their bottom dollar.

For a company that boasts their superior ratings and knowledge, you should be disappointed in your performance and ultimate customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We have been very disappointed since spending $10000 on the R/O system installed. We have had to spend thousands over the original price. We think and have been told this system is not big enough for our home. Look at our review on Yelp for details. I’ll repost later. They don’t correct the mistakes they make or ever follow up to check on customer satisfaction. The techs are very good for the most part but don’t expect anything once you sign that check. We have only used their techs since we first bought the system - not that it has helped much as they don’t stand behind their products at least not so far. We never write bad reviews - this is the first but this is so much money for so little. Buyer beware!

We had an EcoSystem softener placed by Carroll Water about two months ago (I was not present for the install so I don't know names of installers).  Last night we noticed a pretty salty taste in our water.  It continued up into this morning and my wife and I called and spoke to Laura.  I also spoke to Charlie who has been very helpful with the whole install process and he confirmed we should have someone out to check on the system.  Laura was very helpful and said she would have a tech out tomorrow morning but would call if a tech was available for today.  Emily (I believe was her name) called me at 1PM and said she was sending a tech out to us.  Walter came out within 30 minutes and was extremely helpful.  The problem was likely due to us running water at a time when the system is "regenerating."  He ran the water long enough to get rid most all the salt and gave me instructions on what to do rid the rest of the salt for our taps as well as other helpful maintenance tips. Would absolutely recommend these folks to neighbors and others and will have them return for annual maintenance.

The service technician, Dave, was prompt and efficient in making the repair to our system. More importantly, he explained to me the problem and what caused it, and he recommended strategies for preventing it. Very productive service call! I'd like to have him do all of the water system service in our home.
