  Called for a 30 gallon water heater installation during the “gas shortage”. Wow, did the technician enjoy that excuse as icing on the cake for covid. After entering the condo, he took a few pictures on a tablet. He quoted me $1,500 to install the water heater for labor alone. No draining of old heater. No removal of old (I already did all that). Literally $1,500 for 1 hour tops. Said “you’re crazy, let’s get you taken care of”. “You’re competing with other jobs; more lucrative jobs”. Needless to say, I was never sent the quote he promised in writing either which makes me wonder if management is aware of this practice.
