  Beware! Highly priced service, used parts and no professionalism. Check your make/model/capacity before letting them to install. I recently installed my water heater through PSEG/1800 heater. I was supposed to get 50 gallons tank to replace my existing fat size water heater. I noticed once this guys left, installed unit was small 40 gallons. I called PSEG and connected to this company. Installer came home again and apologized, he realized installed unit was wrong after reaching next house for installation!!! He made me fool that I don't have enough space to have 50 gallons installed anyways in that spot. If you still need additional water then go for recirculation installed for fee. I asked them to leave. I know for sure my spot fits 50 gallons. Had multiple plumbers quoted price but I wanted to do financing with PSEG so opted here. Also they charged too much for used parts. A cheap drain pan that too totally huge size for $105. They unnecessarily asked me change air flow pipe for $250. I am 100% sure its an used part. My old one was much cleaner. BEWARE GUYS!!! THEY STEAL MONEY SMARTLY WITH USED PARTS TALKING ABOUT SAFETY!! Lastly, I had drain on the wall outlet for TP relief but this guys deny to do that way and made all mess. You can see clearly on the images. They argue this is not per PSEG contract. If you guys still need their service then better Inspect from your local plumbers for quotes, get parts yourself and then check model before they do installation. Do not fall trap on used parts and wrong size.

  I called 1-800-Heaters on a Friday after visiting Home Depot to purchase a new water heater for my townhouse. They called me the very next day (Saturday) to have my water heater installed between 12noon and 2pm. I thought wow!, but I had an appointment so I asked to be scheduled on a later date. Rubin Ortiz arrived on the date I requested to install my new water heater and took the time to explain everything to me. He saved me time and money recommending the best options for my budget and in the end I paid about $2,000 less than what I was quoted by a competitor. So going forward, if I have any issues with my water heater, I will be requesting Rubin Ortiz at 1-800-Heaters. He's honest, dependable, efficient and a perfectionist. My new water heater looks so pretty. He did the cleanest installation. I had swept out my garage before he started the installation and it was just as clean when Rubin was done. I highly recommend Rubin Ortiz and 1-800-Heaters to anyone who needs to replace their water heater. The price was reasonable and the installation was impeccable. Remember the name, RUBIN ORTIZ & request him when you call I-800-Heaters. **UPDATE!! - This morning around 9am I received a call from Rubin because he found my magnetic key lockbox that I had placed on my water heater years ago when I first moved into my townhouse and totally forgot about it because I was never locked out of the house. Working with his colleagues, Rubin had the key lockbox delivered to my house by 10:15am. I can't sing his praises enough. He went above and beyond. That is fantastic customer service.

  Over Thanksgiving weekend, we stopped getting hot water. We called PSEG and the tech informed us that our water heater was shot and needed to be replaced. We thought we'd have to wait till at least Monday to get any type of appointment. Thankfully they were able to send out a plumber through 1800Heaters to our condo on the same day. If you ever need someone to handle any water heater issues, do yourself a favor and ask for Ruben Ortiz! He was professional, quick, thorough, and extremely helpful. He told us what he was doing every step of the way and gave us advice on how we can take better care of our new water heater. Hands down best experience!!!! We are so grateful that we were able to to get this fixed quickly without much hassle.
