Rafael arrived on time and was very personable he explained everything that needed to be done and the cost. We agreed and he went and got us our new water heater and installed it.  He left our basement immaculate. Very professional I would highly recommend this company to anyone that wants a job done right at a great cost. Everyone in this company including the office are very kind and professional. We called them yesterday late afternoon and the job was completed in less than 24 hours. If I ever need Winters home services again for anything I would call them in a heartbeat!!!!!!!

Winters Home Services saved me from a water backing fill in my first week as a homeowner. They were very responsive. Originally my appointment was scheduled at the next day and they called me at first time when they had a last minute cancellation on the day.
The issue was fixed very quickly. My technician was very helpful and answered all my questions very patiently. The whole service was very professional. I will definitely use them again.

Maury O. is very professional. He checked all my heater system since one bedroom heat wasn’t working. He gave a lot information about how it works. Also he offer me a plan to be a priory client and having the company services for one year. What is very helpful for homeowner.

When they arrived and looked at the job, they gave me the price upfront. That was good.
However, the price was so ridiculously expensive and high beyond belief that I immediately declined. Result is that I lost ten days because I had to wait for their technician to come visit the job site. That was not so good.
Happy end to this job: I just had this simple job done for literally one tenth of the price quoted to me: The job was completed within 45 minutes by a different licensed plumber for $125 instead of $1,150 quoted to me by this business!!!!

Overall very good service and professionalism. The business answered the phone, returned calls, was responsive to concerns, and arrived on-time as communicated on a Sunday. I even received a text with the name and photo of the Technician before he arrived. The Plumber asked pertinent questions and listened to the answers. He explained what he would do, explained the disclosures, provided a verbal estimate before doing the work and then proceeded to do the work as described. We believe the problem was resolved, and so far, 3 days later all is well. I say believe, because we never could see the clog, but it appears to be gone and flowing smoothly now. My only complaint, is more of an industry complaint. It was clear to me that I would be expected to pay in-full, for the "time and tools" (Service Call) even if the problem was not resolved and required another specialist to resolve. Also, two "unit" charges for using two specialized tools, to do essentially a single task is excessive. This adds up to a big fat bill for a modest amount of work, tools and know how. Of course, the plumber has the specialized tools and knowledge, and I do not. So I guess that gives him the upper hand in a free market. I suppose I could have rented the "snake" and the "camera" and done the work myself for less than 1/6 the cost, but there are risks and time associated with that, and the potential that I would be unsuccessful. Then again, the disclosure assured that the plumber had no liability if there was damage and that he would be paid even if he failed to properly resolve the issue. Anyway, weigh your options. The Plumber is expensive, if you know what you're doing and can't afford to pay the plumber, a tool rental place is a solid option to save $$$$. If you just want the issue resolved and keep raw "dirty" water off of your hardwoods, then the plumber is likely the fastest, surest, if most expensive, way to a solution. Finally, no guarantee of workmanship leaves little room for confidence the problem is solved. A modest Flat-rate, due only if the work is completed successfully and at least a 90-day guarantee seems a reasonable expectation on behalf of the customer. It also seems it would be a point of pride and professionalism on behalf of the business. I previously owned/ operated a Computer Repair business, Flat rates, a no-fix - no-pay policy, free estimates, free pickup and delivery and a 90-day guarantee of workmanship. I had more work than I could handle and rarely gave anything away. My attorney, on the other-hand bills me for every 1/4hr, even if she only has a fleeting thought. I think the Attorneys and the Plumbers frequent the same bars to discuss business strategy.

June 2021 review - My heating & A/C system was installed in Dec 2010. I have had quite a few issues with either the heating or cooling systems and they were all covered under the 10 year warranty we purchased (the company no longer offers this type of warranty). I had been satisfied since I didn't have to pay extra for all of the repair calls over the past decade. In July 2015, the first A/C leak was discovered. The system was recharged. In May 2020, a leak in the Schrader valve was found by pressure testing, however no fluorescent dye was used to detect for other leaks. This year in June 2021, now that I am outside the 10 year warranty period, the system is again low on refrigerant and had to be refilled. I was not charged for this service call. This time, the technician (Rafael - who was knowledgeable and a good communicator) added the fluorescent dye to the refrigerant. The technician indicated with the leak in 2020, it would have been best practice to add the fluorescent dye. Had this been done, it is possible more leaks could have been detected and repaired under the 10 year warranty. After discussing with the service manager, Zane, I have a follow up service call this September 2021 to look for the presence of any fluorescent dye. Depending on what is found, we will discuss who will be responsible for that repair. For now I give the company a mixed review because a lot will depend on how the company chooses to address this next step. Will they guarantee their work to find and address the source of the A/C leak(s) originally detected in 2020, while still under warranty, or not?

Sept 2021 review: Vincent came out today 9/20/2021 and performed a follow up leak search as previously scheduled. No large leak was found but there definitely is a small leak somewhere is the system as the pressures were not what they should have been. Sealant was added in the hopes of plugging up any small leaks. The system was also recharged with refrigerant at no charge (would have cost $3000). Plan is to return in May 2022 and check the pressures. If they are low again then the small leak(s) may be at the external compressor or internal A-coil, or both. Since the system is now over 10 years old & no longer covered under warranty, the recommendation would be to replace the entire AC system, which will cost $7-9K. Could the small leak have been detected earlier when the system was still under the 10 year warranty? Could Winters have done a better job at detecting & repairing the leak(s)? In my opinion, possibly yes, which is why I continue to give a mixed review. Overall I am satisfied with the responses from Winters (as the multiple service calls were covered under the 10 yr warranty; the technicians were all very courteous and responsive to my questions) but obviously not happy with the equipment failure (York) during the 10 years we owned the unit. A Trane system was recommended IF we install another AC system.

We needed a spigot shutoff valve replaced inside our garage. It was in a very awkward spot, but Jeff made short work of it. The repair was a bit pricey, but the quality of work was very good. The only note, is that I found that he turned the water off on our downstairs toilet and forgot to turn it back on. Not sure why he needed to, but it was a simple fix to turn the knob back on.

It’s such a great experience to work with Zane again. This time he helped me to fix a broken furnace. He showed up on time and was wearing mask all the time when he was speaking to me. He is very professional and patient, explained the procedures how he fix the system. Highly recommended.

Maury was prompt in his response to our issue.  He was able to come out, diagnose, and make recommendations on our water tank failure.  He evaluated the situation and provided several options for a solution.  In addition to setting us up with a temporary fix to get us up & running, he & John were also able to replace a toilet for us.  Their knowledge and communication skills were solid.

I received a general cleaning on my heating system. Nick O., the service technician, was quite thorough while navigating through the steps of cleaning out the system. I probably asked too many questions but Nick was patient when explaining things to me. A core competency I'm pretty sure they don't teach in heating and HVAC School.
