  Tom arrived promptly, wore a mask, and identified the problem with our leaking shower faucet right away. He explained what needed to be done and how much it would cost up front, and quickly put in a new cartridge and handle; he also took a look at our sump pump and offered some general maintenance advice for our plumbing. He was professional, courteous, and helpful and the whole thing took less than an hour. We will be calling Vern Kummers again if we need plumbing help for sure!

  My replacement water heater did not come with a drain valve handle. Seems like this is something that should be provided by the plumber who performed the installation. Also, if your plumber needs to see a piece of equipment in operation to make a decision on repair/replace/etc then I should be informed of that prior to the service call. I shut off the water heater in question and drained it because it had a leak that was slowly getting worse. The plumber who arrived to take a look at it seemed irritated with me because I made it stop leaking and he then couldnt find the leakage (I guess the damp, water-stained concrete floor directly under it wasn't enough of a clue).

  Dwayne was my technician and he showed up on time. He was friendly and asked questions to make sure he understood what had already been done. Turns out the problem seemed to have resolved itself but he still made sure that the drain was running correctly and that the pipe in the basement was not having any issues.
