I called Savior Plumbing to quote me the repair price for installation of two toilets, and a garbage disposal. Also, I was told (by a different plumbing outfit) that my sewage pipe under one of the toilets was leaking. The quote previously provided seemed outrageously high. Savior came out and charged me only for materials and their hourly rate. And guess what...That sewage leak did not really exist! Kleilyn (Savior plumber) went under the house and took video of exactly where the leak was coming from. It was a wax toilet seal that had failed. Kleilyn (Savior Plumbing) saved me thousands of dollars and was polite, punctual, and professional. I plan to use Savior Plumbing for all my plumbing needs!

Plumber Dave installed timer/pump with timer facing wall. Had to suggest that he add a 4" riser to be able to properly turn and view timer. Then at the end, charges me incorrectly for additional parts and labor. 5 stars to Amanda for quickly assuring that I was due a refund for the inappropriate charges. The work that was done was well done.

This is an update to my original review. The owner of the company cared enough to follow-up on my less than perfect review and, to me, that's a very positive sign. He did not ask me to change anything in my review and, in fact, said that they are using the review to help improve themselves. I told him that I believe that reviews such as this should be clear, correct, and without hyperbole. I offered to consider feedback to the review and make corrections if needed. I also volunteered to re-check and be sure I still agree with what I wrote. While I believe the facts correct in my original review, I feel some of my comments need clarification and some are a bit more harsh than I think Savior deserves or what I intended. What follows is the edited review: ----------------------- I’d like to give them a higher rating but I have difficulty because of the problems we encountered. Ours was a simple remove and replace a gas water heater. Their quoted price was $1900 which I confirmed included that we had a hot water pump (circ pump) and their promise to take care of the permit process. That price was $500 more than the exact same job they did for my next door neighbor approximately 9 months prior. When Savior got here I was told that I must have misunderstood and that the price didn’t include re-using the pump and that I could either have the pump removed or add another $300. So now we were up to $2200. Perhaps I did misunderstand but if that's the case then their price was $800 more than what my neighbor paid prior, not just $500 I went forward anyway because they claimed to take care of the Pleasanton permit process. The tech they sent took 2 full days to do the job (or was it three - I forget). The next day we found much of our garage flooded due to a poorly tightened inlet connection. Everything on the floor of our garage was soaked. They quickly sent a guy back to fix it and I was pleased with their response time. He found the inlet hose to be leaking and apparently tightened it up however, by the next morning it was still leaking. Again, Savior sent someone out right away. This time one of the owners came out. He finally fixed the leak problem which, this time, was apparently a defective hose that was also over tightened and damaged. He also had to redo some of the replumbing on the circ pump which was done incorrectly. He also fixed a dangerous condition where the gas line was left unsupported except by the connector at the wall - a potential disaster.. They may have had to come out three times to fix the leaks but it was so long ago I forget. In any case, it took 5 days for a simple water heater replacement. Savior offered no compensation for the inconvenience and damage to our belongings. The last straw was that they didn’t take care of the permit. Instead they sent us a form in the mail that wasn’t filled out along with a note stating that it was my responsibility to file for an inspection, schedule it and be present for the inspection as they would not attending. In summary, Savior had the highest price in the area but I went with them because of their promises to take care of the permit process and because of the reviews on this site. I feel we overpaid significantly compared to our neighbor and other quotes I got and I spent a lot of time having to deal with 5 days of visits for installation and to correct problems with the initial work. The final frustration was the unfulfilled promise to complete the permit process. I want to say that everyone at Savior was friendly and courteous and it appears that the owner is a competent plumber and he cares about his reputation. However, I'll also say they made no effort to followup with me and address my frustrations until they saw this review. Lastly, I can’t explain why Savior has so many high ratings on this site. Perhaps it's their friendly attitude and those jobs were quick and simple jobs with no permit required. Perhaps my situation was unusual but I’m a disappointed customer on my water heater replacement at the moment.
