Nice people. However, their cash registers are horrible. Offer "tap and pay" that apparently only works with discover cards. When that fails offers a manual entry option for your card that never works according to the cashier and that was my experience as well. The last option is for them to enter it on the computer to which they want to charge you 2.5% "manual entry" fee after their other two payment options failed on their end.... So if you ever forget your card at home just don't even bother shopping here unless you have cash.

Everyone is always super helpful and friendly! Even if they dont have what you need they know where you can find it!

The men at Russell's True Value are always do helpful. They are always willing to help and if they do not carry what you need they point you to the right place!!

What can I say other than if you don't find what you are looking for at any of the other stores in Del Rio, then Russel's True Value is the place to go. Recently was trying to find replacement parts for my home's water heater and had no luck. Went to Russel's and within 10 minutes was walking out the door with all that I needed. As always, staff are very knowledgeable and quick to assist.

Employees and a few customers are not wearing a mask anymore since governor Abbot said masks are not a requirement. They proudly proclaim its their right and to not judge others. So I'll just order online or other responsible business. Be aware and stay safe during this global pandemic.

I was returning an item with no receipt and of course I was not expecting cash back. Having worked in retail for over 19 years I know if a customer is returning an item with no receipt you will more than likely receive store credit which I was fine with since it was my own fault for losing the receipt. Mary, the lady that “helped” me then proceeds to unwrap the entire box even asking where the foam packaging was (it was in the toaster). She asked how long I’ve had it, all normal questions and procedures but the demeanor this person was portraying due to the fact that I was returning an item was unnecessary. No smile on her face, no apologies for the item not working. She walked me over to the register and surprisingly thanked the lady working the register but not me, the customer. I ended up using the store credit for something else in the store and as I was checking out she hopped on to a register and helped a couple out and the difference in her demeanor was incredible. She was smiling with the customer, asked them how they were doing and thanked them as they left. I get that returning something does not help sales at the end of the day but I strongly believe you should treat every single customer as equals regardless if they are buying or returning an item. Mary needs to learn a thing or two about customer service and I hope whoever sees this will teach her the way!

This is the quintessential small town hardware store.  You are greeted, by name if they know you, when you walk in.  Everyone asks if they can help you right away, and everyone knows the whole store, from cashiers to rental clerks to floor salesmen.  What a difference from the local Ace, where they don't seem to care if you exist, unless you're a contractor buying thousands of dollars worth of stuff.  This store treats you like a king, even if all you buy is a single 48 cent bolt. I love everyone there. Bonus: they have a section just for mobile home products.

They are awesome. Very helpful and friendly and even help me jump start my car 🤘👍

Only place in the whole town I can find an ac filter that somewhat fits my weird AC unit. What I love the most though is the little boutique, very unexpected.
