  This company does NOT offer in house or third party financing. If you don't have $10-20,000 readily available, be working on your emergency fund now or get sewer/outdoor plumbing warrantees. The service guys were great though and they are why the rating is 4 stars. Timely, professional, and upfront about the work that needed to be done. Unfortunately, our sewer line replacement increased from the original $9,500 quote to over $12,000. Not the service guys' fault, we had a number of cable and power lines running through our front yard, and the team had to hand shovel part of the way. But they were upfront about the issues as they arose and about the changes in cost. Unfortunate that the company doesn't help the customer with managing the financial aspect in an expensive emergency situation. That will definitely influence our decision whether we use the company in the future.

  The customer service was very good, especially from the plumber that came to the house, but as expected from other reviews online they price gouge big time. Not a lot of plumbers have equipment to unclog longer drain clogs so I felt I had no choice during an emergency. They used a small motorized machine to snake out the washing machine drain which took about 10 minutes. Cost was $500. Three month ago they did my neighbors exact same issue and charged her $400. They couldn't account for why there was a $100 difference. Since I had a flood and needed to get it fixed I felt I had no choice this time. Will definitely find alternatives for the future. Update: spoke with Robert Newman at Roto-Rooter about the charges. He explained that their corporate office sets some of the rates and that they have the equipment and manpower to get to customers quickly and that has a play in their rates. He did apply a $50 coupon to my charges and the refund for that went through right away. Still feel the charges are high but the customer service is excellent and their plumbers are knowledgeable. So, if you have an emergency and need it taken care of quickly they would be the ones to call if you're willing to pay for that extra fast service.

  I am so glad I decided to call Roto-Rooter. They called me back immediately to set up an appointment. Michael Brummett arrived within the time frame we agreed on. Michael is very professional , knowledgeable and kind. He explained everything that he was going to do, what the cost would be plus anything that he might have to do should the initial service not solve the problem. He gave me prices for any possible work that might have to be done. I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone having plumbing problems. Carol Bulger High Point, NC
