  John @ Reliable Plumbing did a GREAT job with the replacement of my hot water heater. I looked around and decided to go with Reliable because of their customer service, responsiveness, price, and all around ease to work with. I will definitely continue to use them in the future and recommend them to others.

  I paid $95 to John to diagnosis my sewer gas smell in my house which can be hazardous. He did not provide a diagnosis for what my issue was, mainly gave me a bunch of “maybe it’s this” or “maybe it’s this” or your house is just old and your going to have to replace the whole main pipe through the house resolve the issue. This was all in a span of 15 min and I gave $95 for this service call, so basically was left with more questions than answers. I even started to question my career choice, and thought about going into plumbing business and tell 9 out of 10 people what he said and make a quick $95 in 15 min. On the contrary, with Kennedy Plumbing located in Alsip, they were able to come in and find out what was going on and why I was getting the smell. They found out it was the P trap in the ground and gave a few options and how I can contain the smell until I’m ready to do the repair. Again, I highly recommend Kennedy plumbing!

  We are sorry you feel this way. You were informed that the trap was dried out and that water needs to be in there at all times which could be one of the issues of "smell" you were having. You also did have many other plumbing issues that were addressed at the time. The $95.00 is a trip charge, the plumber in no way gets that in his pocket, there are many overhead costs in order to be able to send someone to your home. We are happy for you that you have gotten your issue resolved.
