Called today to get an estimate. Wanted to use a local plumber to support the local community. They wanted to charge $79 just to give me an estimate. If I was willing to go with them, the $79 would be credited back. I don’t have a clue what the procedure would cost and can’t see paying $80 for someone to come out and tell me if they can actually complete and give me a price which I might not even be able to afford. Would probably have used them if they came out and looked at it without asking for $80 up front. Customer service rep was very pleasant and friendly. I can not comment on the work but am looking elsewhere for a service provider due to the upfront fee.

They called me to refill my Neutralizer. They had done work for me before but not to refill my neutralizer. I asked them what price they charge for the service and price per bag. I then called Portasoft who normally services my neutralizer. Reissmann was less expensive. The plumber did a great job but the price did not match what I was quoted and it was more then Portasoft would have charged me. When I called the Reissmann office I talked to both the sales person and office manager and they would not live up to the price I was quoted. They basically told me in a rude way that I didn't hear them right and this is the price and was not willing to adjust anything on the service call or material. The original person that called me was not the normal sales person and gave me incorrect pricing but they were not willing to take any responsibility and make any adjustments. I would not use them again.

I would recommend that you do not use this plumber. It's a measure of technical ability and trustworthiness. I had them install a new steam boiler 8 years ago. Now the boiler developed a leak. Asked them to take a look and they refused. I had a licensed plumber that's an expert in steam boilers, take a look and they found that the boiler needs to be entirely replaced. 8 years and a new boiler? Found that they completely oversized the boiler by like double. That means that the boiler would heat up too quick so some parts of the house gets hotter than others. That means that they didn't do a simple load calculation of the radiators which takes about 15 minutes. I obviously know a thing or two so I had to ask the owner to do it (he should do it without even asking!). He said he was going to do it now and went upstairs. Came back down later and said he calculated it. I believed him. That's outright fraud. When the boiler later failed, they wouldn't come and take a look at the boiler. It must happen frequently because they just said that the warranty doesn't cover "it". I didn't even explain what happened but Debbie just immediately refused. What I don't understand is that Reissman doesn't have to pay for any of the failure; it's up to the manufacturer. They just have to submit the paperwork which I guess was too much for them! Reismman also agreed to install a main vent and skim the boiler after they installed it. Problem? They didn't even install a skim port! What a shady company. Reissman, of course, refused to own up to anything that they did. That's $11k down the drain. What's even more frustrating is the level of customer service. Debbie, the person who handles the phones is outright rude. You know the type. Won't let you get in a polite word while she's just say no, no, no? She was clearlying lying about what the warranty says when I had it right in front of me while she didn't. Stay clear from this company. They will cheat you and aren't in any way trustworthy. They go on forums to say they are great plumbers but they aren't.
