When our furnace failed late on a Friday night, I called several HVAC companies. Most placed me on a replacement path sometime the following week without even looking at the system. Zach came in and replaced some bad wiring and a shorted out thermostat and had us operational within the hour. He also gave us advice an eventual replacement costs. I highly recommend using him

We are first-time customers and I must say that we are very pleased. Everything went extremely well from the moment we spoke with the highly efficient phone scheduling lady to the completed task. It was an all-around great experience. The sink plumbing work was done skillfully and well. The charges were explained much to our satisfaction. Everything was done promptly and courteously. I would have rated higher but the billing and service not more than the industry standard of our time.  Kellermeir heating and plumbing installed furnace and ac for 10300.00 four years ago.  A device that would route condensation away from burner tube was not installed. This resulted in Relay on Control Board Failing.

Perrysburg Heating and Cooling replaced the controller board under warrenty for a charge of 284.00,  the charge for device that was not installed during furnace installation “rubber boot,  drain line and pvc t” charge 154.00.  Less not forget the service fee of 89.00.  No tax reference so one might surmise tax is part of the 17% service fee.  A grand total of 527.00 in labor to replace control board,  add a pvc t,  rubber boat and drain line.  The technician was here for approximately here for an 1.5 and accounting for going to Toledo to retrieve control board maybe a total of 2.00 hours.  Apparently I am not the only one to complain about cost of labor as a explanation of charges came with the  bill.  The explanation does not follow the charges needed to be 44% “527/1200” off my 40 hour week pay when I worked.  Can you imagine how hard to pay this bill if you made less than 1200 a week.  Geeze it was labor.  You cannot explain 210.8 an hour for overhead and employee cost smh “these comments do not fall on the technician”.  The technician was spot on.

I would like to help you understand our day to day cost in hopes that you will understand. Your service call started with our secretary who entered your job into our scheduling system ($), our technician then was called with a company cell phone ($) to let him know there was an emergency no heat call. Then our technician logged into his company computer ($) for directions to your home and to call you to let you know he was on his way. Our technician drove his company truck (cost of fuel, insurance, licensing, wear and tear, etc -$) to your home within one hour of the call. He then diagnosed two issues with your furnace. The first issue was the control board had been damaged by condensation causing your furnace not to heat your home. Since our technician had went through training (hours paid for training -$) he was also able to recognize the issue that caused the damage to your control board. Charlie then made a recommendation to prevent damage in the future. Once he made his diagnosis he would also gave you upfront prices for any recommended repairs before any work was performed. Warranty of the control is something of a gray area since it was not a manufactures issue rather an installation issue. So actually Charlie should have charged for the control board due to damage (profit lost on mark up of control board -$). Once Charlie and you had agreed on repairs Charlie drove ($) to Toledo to get the needed part to fix your furnace same day. Then he drove ($) back to your home to make the repairs needed. After repairs were made you used a credit card to make payment ( 3.5% of sale  -$). At some point Charlie would have brought the warranty part back to the office so they could fill out a pdf form for credit (time-$). Once the office fills out the form the office then must wait to be reimbursed for the cost of the parts (-$). Once the office is reimbursed they then have to prove payment in our records (time-$). Charlie still needs to restock his truck of the parts used off the truck(-$). Total hours for this job a far more than what people see. We have so much more that I have not mentioned that goes into overhead for providing quality service 24 hours a day. So after all the above if the company did everything right the industry standard of profit is at best 10%. $527.00 x .10%= $52.70. Hopefully this helps with understanding our costs of providing quality service everyday 24 hours a day. Please call us if you have any questions that I may have not addressed above. This company is out for your money. Our gas line in our house is leaking and the technician spent 5 minutes looking at our line and told us we needed a whole new line ran. The technician gave us an estimate of $1,800. The technician did not test the line or do any follow up work. Save your money and go with a different company.

Thank you for your review Ethan. I am sorry you were not happy with the cost of our trip fee. The office staff would have informed whoever called in for the service about this cost before sending a technician out. We access a trip fee to help pay for the technicians time and the cost of running our business. Once the technician arrived at your home he read the note left by the gas company stating multiple gas leaks in your home before the appliances. After reading the note he then inspected the gas lines. After inspecting the gas lines his professional opinion was to replace all the gas lines in your home to make it safe for your family. He did not recommend making spot repairs to your existing gas lines. Spot repairs only guarantee the spots repaired and future leaks in the existing gas lines are almost guaranteed.  The technician then talked to wife and she also agreed this was the best option. The technician then wrote and estimate for replacing the gas lines in your home. After writing the estimate and presenting it to your wife she said she needed to talk with you before making a decision. Our technician at that time collected for the trip fee.
