My Mom and I were very pleased with the work that John from Mr. Handyman did at her house. We had several projects. He was on time every day. He was very polite and explained what he was going to do that day. His work was outstanding! We were very glad we chose Mr. Handyman and would contact them again.

Called Mr. Handyman about repairing my mailbox which was rotted at the base. He did a terrific job. Replaced the metal base with treated wood and completed the job in a timely fashion. I recommend this particular repairman…Shawn Sykes..,great job👍🏾

My rating is based on the expensive price. $550 to install a doggy door that took a little under 2 hours (30 mins of that was talking). The $550 was all labor as we had already purchased the door. We needed a doggy door installed and were desperate to get it done asap. I spoke with Mr Handyman and they said they charge $215 minimum. I thought that was pretty high. Based on that minimum charge, I then reached out to a different handyman who quoted us at $75/hr, but he was a little hesitant to do it because there was a light switch with wires going down. I then called Mr. Handyman back because they seemed reputable and the type to get any job done, yet overpriced. Mr. Handyman sent out a handyman who didn’t think he could do it at first. He was about to leave but then said he could possibly move the stud to not interfere with the wire. He quoted me $700 to move the stud and install the door. When I asked how much it normally cost without having to move the stud, he said $400-$500(something I obviously would’ve never agreed to because other handymen would do it for a much more reasonable price). I gave him the go-ahead because of our desperation and he seemed confident the extra work of moving the stud would be needed. Turns out that no extra work was needed because the wires could easily be moved. I ended up getting charged $550 (more than the $400-$500), I find this unfair. Based on this experience, I decided to use the other handyman for our other handyman needs, which was a little over 5 hours of work. He charged $375 total and his work was stellar. I will be leaving him a 5 star review. I want to be clear that Mr. Handyman’s service was good, their handyman was very professional, and the job he did was decent (the door doesn’t go up and down smoothly like the exact same model of door we had before). They even followed up with me to see if he did a good job. My summed up response was “yes, but I feel I was overcharged”, but they didn’t seem to care about the overcharge comment. This was before I realized the door doesn’t run smoothly, but I guess I can live with that, my real concern is the price. They seem to do a good job but $275/hr for labor is very expensive in my opinion and in order to use them again and to refer them to others I would need to talk to a manager or owner about how this price is justified.
