  My water heater "exploded" at 11:30 pm on a Saturday night. I called McGee and Sons on Sunday morning hoping to get an early call back on Monday. Instead Mike called me back within a couple hours to discuss the problem. After a series of calls and texts (detailing what work needed to be done and the costs involved) we set up an appointment for first thing Monday morning to replace the water heater. By 9am on Monday morning two guys were working on replacing the heater. They were on time, professional, and were willing to walk me through everything they were doing. By 11am they were finished and I had hot water again. Mike called with a follow up later that afternoon. The whole thing was resolved quickly. As an extra, as anyone who has had a big plumbing problem before knows, it seems overwhelming. Just the fact that I was able to speak with someone on Sunday who could assure me that it would be taken care of quickly was incredibly reassuring and relieving. My stress over the whole thing evaporated with that phone call. If I have plumbing issues in the future I will definitely be using McGee and Sons again.

  We highly recommend McGee and Sons Plumbing.We reached out to a different plumber that was booked until May,That company recommended McGee and Sons Plumbing. Mike was able to come out the same day that we called and determined that we needed a new hot water heater/tank.Mike found a safety issue and ensured that the safety issue was resolved before he left the house.Mike had some tanks in stock and was able to install a new tank quickly and efficiently the next day( a Saturday). If you are looking for a reliable and responsive plumber in the OBX, call McGee and Sons!

  We are new to the area and we had to take a leap of faith with contractors for everything needed for our renovation. Luke from McGee and Sons arrived not just on time, but with the best attitude and professionalism. He was so helpful, informative, very knowledgeable and very detail oriented . He was such a pleasure to work with. We will be using this wonderful business for all of our plumbing work in the future.
