I had Mallard come out for an estimate and whole house inspection for our 81 year old house that we bought last year. Shane and Bob were personable and knowledgeable. They were respectful of my home, putting on shoe covers prior to entering and keeping their inspection area clean. They answered all my questions and made sure everything was addressed before leaving. My father in law recommended them to us and I would recommend them to anyone else!

Bob and Shane did a great job of piecing out my main sewer and installing a new 2 way clean out.  They were prompt, professional and friendly. I believe the pricing was good and they did an excellent job of site restoration and clean up.

I've used Mallard for a number of projects around our new house, everything from repairing pinhole leaks in copper pipe to disconnecting unneeded gas lines to installing new toilet and rerouting a faucet. They have always been responsive and shown up within their designated window (plus a phone call/text when en route). The guys are professional and easy to talk to and I will continue to use them for our plumbing needs in our new house.

Scheduled visit 2 weeks in advance. Provided written guidance on 3 distinct projects. Without any apparent advance communication w/office, plumber arrived to advise that 2 of the 3 projects could not be done because: 1) Company does not install Pfister products for the particular job and; 2) Work requires a specialized technician. Had there been any oversight or communication on the nature of work requested, both projects could likely have been performed. Instead, we paid $90 for a service call that resulted in nothing. Can't speak to quality of work because none performed. Calls to Mallard were not returned.

You can call our office at 215-394-8141 and get someone live 24/7. Either way, we want to get this resolved because there was definitely a break down in communication and we should have asked for pictures/clarification. This is exactly why we have our dispatch of $89.00 so we can get our technicians' eyes on the scope of work, formulate the best course of action, and provide you with pricing prior to starting the work.

A first time customer whose long time plumber retired. So happy that Mallard was recommended.  Very professional.  And we’ll call on them for all our plumbing needs.

I Called to have a dishwasher installed. They would not give me a price
(even a rough estimate). I understand if there is additional things that need to be done afterwards. I just wanted a standard install price. “Sorry , I don’t having the pricing in front of me” is what I was told. They said they could come the same day so I agreed. The plumber called an hour later. He said let me just look at it first. I said  “you don’t have a standard price ?”
He said “No, let me just get a look at it”.
He calls me an hour later. Now he’s at the property.
“So , the standard price for installation is $465 ! Plus replacing a shut off valve

$995 !!!!!!!

I said “are you crazy”???

To install a Dishwasher!!!???

Beware, this is the type of company you stay away from. Once they are in the door, they go for the KILL.

I guess they figure your gonna pay their service FEE for waking in the door so you’ll just say go ahead and do it.

Be Very careful dealing with this company. Or better yet, don’t deal with this company. Just thinking if this was My elderly Mom, she wouldn’t know any better and give these people almost $1000 for an installation.

I have one coming on Monday.

Again, this was a dishwasher.

Hello Rob, thanks for your feedback. Yes, you're absolutely right that we are unable to give pricing over the phone. This is why our office stated that we have the $89 dispatch, to cover the time out and back, and once the technician is on site and sees what is involved, there will be up-front pricing, but the $89 would be due either way. We do this because we have had previous experiences that "ballpark estimates" have been off and caused major issues. You agreed and was scheduled for same day service. After that, you spoke with the technician prior to him arriving, again asking for pricing, to which he replied that he cannot give pricing over the phone, but we can come out still for the dispatch, and then give you pricing, to which you again agreed. Once there, the technician told you the price for the installation, plus a few new valves that were frozen open, which came to roughly $900, including the $89. You declined and were invoiced for the dispatch, which you agreed would happen. Again, we appreciate your feedback and will use this as a coaching opportunity to make sure everyone on our end is explaining our pricing accordingly. Thank you.

The plumbers were professional, timely, and worked extremely hard in installing my hot water heater.  Even when they ran into an issue that they had nothing to do with, they went the extra mile to ensure safety for my family and I.  They explained everything so that I understood exactly what they were doing and the work looks great and the water heater is top of the line.  I would highly recommend them to anyone in need.  I called yesterday morning, they were ready to install by that same afternoon.  EXCELLENT SERVICE and Customer Care!!!!!
