Lew’s Plumbing is the absolute best! After hours with another plumbing company and being quoted thousands of dollars to hook up our new washer and repair our pipes, Lew’s came quickly and fixed the problem in 10 minutes for under $200. They are honest and know what they are doing. I will never call any other plumber! Thank you Dave and Lew’s!!! You’re amazing.

I had Lew's Plumbing install a sump pump that I purchased myself. Their estimate was 2 hrs at $142/hr plus materials. After 2.75 hours their guy told me the pump wasn't working properly and was apparently defective. I then spoke with the manufacturer and asked them to sent me a replacement pump, which they did on the condition that I return the defective one. I received the replacement, but decided not to have it installed right away. Soon after, there was some heavy rain and I observed that the pump appeared to be working properly. I tested the pump thoroughly and as far as I could tell it worked properly every time. I spoke with someone at Lew's Plumbing and told them the pump that their guy said was defective seemed to be working properly. They did not offer any apology. At this point, I have to conclude that their guy was either incompetent or trying to overcharge me by spending more time than was necessary. I gave them a chance to make it right by sending their guy back out at no charge to make sure the pump was not defective, but they declined. On top of all the time I had to spend testing the pump, I also have to take time to return the replacement pump that I apparently didn't need in the first place. My reply to the response from the owner: Yes, I decided not to spend additional hundreds of dollars to have a brand new pump, that appears to be working properly, replaced. The manufacturer's support person had no way of knowing if the pump was defective or not. He just took your word for it, as I did. The main pump is working on AC power and the backup pump is working on both AC and battery power. You are welcome to come back for no charge and show me how it is not working as it should.
Response from the owner
Mr Singer you were in the basement with us when we explained how the pump was not working as it should, then you listened in on my call to the manufacturers technical support who said, "Replace the pump it is defective". We did not want to take a chance with your basement flooding. So a Plumber with 31yrs experience says to replace the pump and the manufacturer of the pump says to replace the pump (and is sending you free of charge) and you decide not to replace it? Well sir I hope your basement doesn't flood. I assure you we were looking out for your best interest. Sorry things didn't work out as you wanted.

They overcharged me by several hundred dollars, didn't take the old water heater out that they were supposed to remove (the cost of removal was rolled into the price), and when called about it they made some excuse about "working afterhours". I'm disabled, so I can't drag it out myself. Edit: I was told that because it was "after hours", that they couldn't take it out. The techs told me that I just had to call back during business hours and they'd send someone to remove it. When I called, I was told that they wouldn't do it. I'm not sure why I don't show in your system, as my names on the payment, and it was definitely through this company since the emailed receipt shows this company's name.
Response from the owner
Emily, we apologize for this experience that you had, however we are unable to find anyone by your name in our system as a customer; or maybe you have mistaken us for another business. But our flat rate does not include removal of the water heater and if the water heater is in a basement and we can not drain it, then we cannot remove it and risk the health of our employees.
