  They looked at my A/C and charged me $340 just for one hour of labor, and finally could not fix it.. They will fix one issue and create another one so that they can come back later. They used to be good but things have changed and the service have become substandard.

  We think you did a duplicate review, but here is our response again: Again our apologies for not being able to repair your A/C system. Just a couple things to note: the technician was there for over 2.5 hours and only charged for 2 hours of labor. We also offered to put this service charge toward the cost of replacing your system. This was also not a typical A/C service repair. There was an outstanding issue that we had noted in February while fixing your heat (the heat pump controls failed and could only be partially repaired for the heat side in February). We had advised you that the cooling side of the system would not be operational until the controls were rewired. We recommended you to call to finish the cooling side of the repair in the spring, because it needed to be done in the warmer weather. In order to test the operation of the system, the rewire for the cooling side had to be completed first. Our technician performed the rewire and discovered the compressor was bad and irreparable due to the age of the system. Thank you for your comments and we do wish we could have fixed it for you!

  I called Len Thonus Plumbing on Tuesday, July 30 in regards to a leak in my utility closet. They sent Scott over to take a look at it within an hour of me calling. Scott came and opened the wall to look at the pipe behind it in order to find the source of the leak. Scott was able to find the leak, leave for less than 30 minutes to get materials, and then came back to fix the leak. Scott was great, cleaned up his work space, and I would highly recommend this company.

  For over 20 years, Len Thonus Plumbing was the company I called whenever I had any problem at my 200-year-old house. They ALWAYS came when they said, always did good work, and treated me very professionally and fairly. And then something happened and I don't know what. I called them at the beginning of the summer to install a new outdoor spigot. They made (and stood me up) for 3 consecutive appointments, wasting 3 days of my time waiting for them. No calls, no explanations, nothing. Finally, after a month, I called them again and they sent a guy here who told me there was only one way it could be done, but he didn't have the right tools so he was going to buy them and come back. He never did . . . I waited 2 weeks and called AGAIN. This time, one of the managers came out himself and decided that he knew a better way to do the job. He said he would come back either later that day or the next to "measure it out and install it". That was 10 days ago and I have not heard a word from him since. It is now the middle of August . . . summer is almost over. The outdoor spigot is not any closer to being installed, my cellar is still a mess from the first guy who came out and never put things back where they were, and the manager hasn't called or followed up in any way. For someone who was a loyal customer for 2 decades, always paid my bill promptly, offered their plumbers who worked here coffee, etc . . . they have treated me and my family like we are just not that important to them, I am sadly disappointed and will have to find another plumber now. I can't recommend them any more.
