  I paid my home warranty for kyle’s to come out and fix my hot water heater. After paying the $100 service fee two guys came out took pictures and measurements. There a total of 5 minutes! Said they would order the tank, and says I would need to also pay out of pocket cost.. well that ended up being almost $600! The only thing I needed fix was the tank. After getting the break down from them. They planned to replace everything in the closet.. which isn’t what I asked for them to do. So we are stuck paying it. Due to our house being sold and closing within the week,along with it being through our home warranty(wouldn’t recommend American home shield either)

  If the service call is through our home warranty company, they are very prompt & do good work. If I call myself for work not covered by my home warranty, I can pretty much forget it. The answer is always the same: we'll check the schedule & call you back. They never call back. This has been the situation for the past few years. Before that, they were willing to work & did a good job for us.
