Started working with the folks at Henry Smith in December. I’ve been impressed with their dedication to their customers and commitment to the legacy that Bartt and his father, Henry (“Hank”) built over the last 70 years.

The service man talked about the maintenance contact but didn’t do anything but clean the igniter (just a few minutes) but charged I guess for telling us how everything was wrong on the furnace including the installation. Last year the service man did the same thing and charged service call $85.00 plus one hour labor. Total $135.00. This guy charged the $85.00 for service call plus for a total of $284.50. I didn’t want to pay him to talk. What a rip off, we had used this company for many years but NEVER again!!!! To make it worse I think this guy was the owner. Not a very bad good way to run the business. Lost our business and anyone we can tell to not call them for service.

The plumber came 12/2/19 for a slow sink drain and leaky faucets in bathroom sink and tub. He said both needed to be replaced. $600 for the sink, $1300 for the tub!! I was honestly appalled at the ridiculously high prices. I did have him clear the drain. Refused to pay the exorbitant prices to have him replace the faucets. To make matters worse the plumber turned off the main water to the house. When he turned it back on it was dripping fast which is how he left it. (About a gallon an hour) He had me call the city to mark the water shutoff. He would then be happy to return and replace the inside shutoff valve for another $600 + $85 service charge! What a ripoff!! My son replaced the sink faucet for under $50 and repaired the tub faucet for about $70. The city came to replace my water meter (they are upgrading, replacing all in city). He tightened the nut on the shutoff valve. That is all it took!! Do not trust them! The over-inflated pricing is ridiculous.
