Giving 1 star because I can’t give 0. I don’t even know why I still go here. Back in September I came to the emergency department with covid, all of my vitals had dropped, I knew this because it happened while receiving antibodies, and I was struggling to breathe. I waited 2.5 hours until I left. No telling how long I would’ve waited, had I stayed. At the end of October I was having severe abdominal pain. They took me for an X-ray of my abdominal area and put me back in my room to wait 6 HOURS for the results. And the only reason he came then was because I had called the nurses for the 3rd time and told them I was leaving. Nobody checked on me, wasn’t given anything to help with the pain. I got IV Zofran (I wasn’t even nauseous?) and famotidine (no acid reflux, either.) Told me “you’ve got gallstones. Sign here and here and we’ll get you out of here.” I wouldn’t have been so impatient had the emergency room been full of people, but I was one of 3 patients. A 6 hour wait on X-ray results is unacceptable. I had surgery this Monday to remove my gallbladder, at registration the woman was unnecessarily rude. I’ve honestly never dealt with someone so hateful while at registration anywhere else before. After surgery my nurse comes to ask me how I’m doing and to rate my pain. I said “10” ( of course? I just had surgery.). She says “well, you’re not crying so..” I’m probably the most understanding person when it comes to these situations but this place really pushes me past the point of any understanding or reasoning. It’s so ridiculous that they are still getting away with treating people this way. I know for a fact I’m not the only person that has had this kind of experience. I could go on for hours about my horrible experiences there, but these are just in the last 6 months or so and there shouldn’t even be this many.

Everyone was wonderful. I went into my surgery with no worries. Doctors, Nursing, Anesthesia team, Radiology, Respiratory, and anyone I may have missed. They all deserve raises. Ran like a well oiled machine. Thank You for all you do!

This is my third visit to Greenbriar, specifically to have a PET Scan. I prefer the small hospital setting to the larger Carilion setting in Roanoke, Va. From the moment arriving I was made to feel comfortable. A very friendly face was at reception. Her directions were both kind and complete. Arrival in the waiting room was brief and I was called to a registration area. This also was a pleasant experience. Info all taken and verified, the wait once again very short. I was met by a nice young man (tech) who escorted me to the portable scan equipment. Both young men there were kind and explained what was to happen. All in all, the experience was pleasant enough. I will continue to use this facility as scans come due.
