I generally like this hardware store, and recently bought a brand new 2021 Ariens ZT mower. The mower was delivered with less than 10psi in the rear tires (24 psi needed) the front tires barely registered on my gauge. The deck was not leveled or adjusted properly at all.  Deck was 1/2" of side to side and not trued up with the cut height selection lever.  It was just roughly assembled and no where near set up properly  for a nice cut. It was also filthy from sitting outside. Someone that has no experience with mowers would have been really unhappy with the cut of this machine. Took me about and hour to set it up perfectly. Very disappointed with the service.

Hi Eed, We are so sorry this happened to you! I dont know how these issues were overlooked. Normally a machine would go up to the shop for a good cleaning and a go over by our technicians to make sure all tires are filled, oil is full, etc... before the machine is delivered.  Sounds like a step was accidentally missed in the process. Great place to shop, they have a lot more than a normal hardware store, they also sell appliances. They are #1 in the paint department, they built a huge lumber building in addition of what they had in 2015. Family owned and run, they definitely help customers and give 100%.

Bought a mower last summer from them. This season didnt work, brought in to check. They say someone put a bad spark plug on it. Tried explaining to the cashier George how they sold it to me this way. He chewed his bubble gum, even blew a big bubble said no clue, it is what it is he doesnt fix this. Explained why would I have to pay for a part that they sold on a mower if the part wasn't supposed to be on it. His answer "dont know" rang it up. Didnt offer management, a solution, or even comprehend what I was saying. Regular way this employee behaves in there. Very unprofessional, and bad products sold.

Thank you for your concerns Jennifer. We looked into this issue and there was a spark plug on your machine that we do not sell, nor ever have, that did not come from our store. The spark plug in your machine was put on there by an outside source and was not the correct one which is what caused your problem. Im sorry you had an issue but I hope the new, correct spark plug we sold you fixed your machine and you did not find it as a bad product. I hope that if you chose to continue to do business with our store, that you will next time accept the offer to speak with the owner as was actually asked of you that day that you denied instead of leaving a negative review for something that we hope does not reflect on our every day business practices and we could try to resolve together in person. Also we hope that you would at another time be willing to disclose to the employees in the small engine shop that someone else tried to fix your machine at home and might not have done it correctly so that they can help you solve the problem right away, resulting in a smaller labor charge for time. I am sorry you felt that George was not listening as he doesnt work in the small engine shop and can only ring up the bill that was written for the repair. He also is not a bubble gum chewer so I am not sure what you could have mistaken as that. I hope you maybe have a better understanding now of the circumstances and will continue to shop local with our store.
