I agree with an earlier response that states that this company is only out to get as much money from you as possible. In November, I had a small outside water hose faucet burst on the side of my house, and I had to turn off the water to the whole house to get it to stop. I called this company and was quoted a rate of 180.00 an hour for a plumber to come out, but it’s Saturday, and I don’t have a lot of options. The plumber quickly calls me to let me know he is at another job and it will be a while before he can come out, which I’m fine with. He arrived four hours later, and by this time it’s dark and cold. He tells me that he will patch the leak so we can turn the water back on, and they will send another technician out during the week to put the faucet back on the hose. While the plumber did good work, he barely stayed 20 minutes. Yet I was still charged a full $180 dollars for this service. Had I known I was paying for a full hour REGARDLESS of time worked, I would have asked him to make necessary repairs then. Also, the second technician was sent out later on in the week. He gave me his “professional opinion” (his words) that doing more work was basically unnecessary if we didn’t use that faucet often (it’s behind a large bush and a bit unreachable) and that the previous technician did the necessary fixes. He tells me that I won’t be charged for the visit. Well, I was. So, for 20 minutes worth of work, I was charged $255 dollars. I feel that the workers did not clearly communicate prices and expectations. And this is how they can justify charging what they charge. I called and talked to a lady in billing. She was basically, “well, that’s what we charge.” She asked if I wanted to talk with the owner. I said yes and left my number. However, no one has contacted me yet. I will say this, be informed!!! Ask questions. Get terms clearly stated, so you aren’t surprised when you get the bill.

Use with caution. These plumbers are fine for simple issues such as snaking a drain or unclogging a toilet, but for any major work use someone else. They will charge you hundreds and even thousands of dollars whether they fix the issue or not. Also, they will send out "helpers" at their leisure and charge an additional $70/hr without telling you. They have a reputation of failing to act with integrity in their dealings with customers. They are more concerned with getting as much money as possible per job than they are in taking care of a customer. I have not spoken to anyone who has had positive interactions with this company. Consumer beware.

    Response from the owner

Mr. Ellison, we were under the impression this issue had been resolved on 11/4/19. We have apologized for the situation, however we feel as this is really an issue between you and your property manager. Your property manager requested service on 06/24/19 for a stop up and we gave an estimate for necessary repairs. He at no time stated he did not own the property while our plumber and helper were on location. We received no further communication or payment for 4 months. We understand you are upset regarding the bill for work you were not notified about by your property manager however we did adjust the bill for you even though it was four months past due. Your property manager was made aware of our rates at the time he called in the service to our office before we scheduled the work. We do charge for our helpers as we are legally required to pay them since they do work for our company and our customers. If we were really only concerned about getting as much money as possible we can assure you we would not have adjusted the bill.

I called around noon with a non emergency and they were here by 3pm— same day. They quickly resolved the issue; we can now flush our toilets with impunity. Also a slightly less important aside, they (I dealt with Aaron) are super knowledgeable and friendly. Crossroads Plumbing is definitely on our call sheet for the next inevitable plumbing crisis.

    Response from the owner

    Thanks so much!!!!
