Brad and Toby came out to install a charcoal water filter for the house which had been estimated and scheduled previously. Coon was honest with how long a lead time it took before they could do the work - about two weeks out from my call to schedule. These two were actually early, introduced themselves, answered questions, were professional, courteous, and went right to work installing the system. When they were finished, everything was cleaned up and neat and tidy. I am very pleased.

Not recommended! The good and bad of it. The plumber they sent was very personable, intelligent, and capable. He did some good work. He also did some bad work. More troublesome was Coon management behind that bad work. 1. First, see the sample picture of the drooping water lines they put under my house. Is this what you think your waterlines should look like in the crawlspace? Not. 2. Then there is the picture here of the unfinished and non-functioning shower, with no pipe, no showerhead. Yes, anyone could put in the pipe, but behind wall fittings--where leaks can't be seen--should be done by someone with professional skills. The plumber did not come back to finish the job, so I had the expense of calling another plumber. 3. I asked for high quality toilets, but instead they gave me Gerber brand. Seen this brand at any retail plumbing stores? Not. A plumber I hired to replace it called Gerber "low end." High quality toilets have a better finish, and clean up with next to no effort. Cheaper toilets are prone to holding on to stuff, stain more easily, and require real scrubbing to clean. Gerber is not the worst brand, but it is what is called "contractor grade." Contractor grade can include fair and decent products, but not reliably so. Do yourself a favor and do your homework to find high quality, then select the brands you want your plumber to install. Don't let contractors give you second string or "contractor grade" without your expressed permission. I trusted Coon to give me the best, as I asked, and they repeatedly failed to do that. 4. A year later I have 3 dripping outdoor frost free faucets, installed new by Coon. You guessed it, they installed contractor grade. Again, I had asked them specifically for high quality. I have never had a new faucet leak this soon. The several local hardware and improvement stores had no parts for this faucet, and its model and serial number are nowhere visible for ordering online. This and other plumbers should install brand name products for which repair kits are readily available at home improvement stores, because sooner or later they all need fixing. 5. I paid this company thousands of dollars for a new shower stall. I told Coon that I did not know any carpenter contractor to do the wood support for the fiberglass shower. The original shower stall was slightly bigger than the new one. Coon told me they had a guy "who did all their bathroom carpentry." Naturally I hired their referral. The guy did a good job on the floor, but in spite of three attempts costing me hundreds of dollars, he failed to make the wall woodwork fit the new shower. Hard to believe but true. Finally, I had to hire another carpenter. When I told Coon about the screw-up carpenter, they blamed me, saying "well, you hired him." 6. I could go on and on about this company. I was a good customer, had a great amount of work done and promptly paid cash for it all. I replaced their toilet, hired others to finish their woodwork, crawled under the house to tie up the water lines, volunteered to haul away the old toilets when it was their job, and did much else. I would not have these folks do plumbing for me if they worked for free.

We were desperate, as the toilet wasn't flushing....most companies were a few days out, but Coon fit me into their schedule within an hour of my call! Tim was so helpful and considerate. He replaced the toilet and had the whole job completed in about an hour.....Thank's so much!!
