I have used Carolina Plumbing for major and minor plumbing service and repairs. I was very pleased with their professionalism, skill and workmanship. They were timely and reliable, and their cost was very pleasingly within budget for the work that was performed. Most recently I had an emergency repair, and they were my first call. They showed up asap, and the repair got me back up and running, and they did not soak me on the bill. Thank you, Daniel and crew, at Carolina Plumbing, as I can highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

My home was built in the’80s. It is full of polybutylene pipe. Needless to say I have had more than a few leaks over the years. Carolina Plumbing has been there for me every time. They came out straight away and resolved my issues. The nicest people to work with! Very helpful!! They worked with me to find the best solution. Highly recommend!

My mother-in-law called to have someone come out and look over the plumbing in and around the house for leaks because she received an unusually high water bill of over $50. Typically she pays around $30. The gentleman came out and looked around the bathrooms and kitchen and then, without asking, replaced two floats in two toilets, which were fairly new and not leaking. He charged her $309. My mother-in-law didn’t think the floats were the issue, but waited for the next water bill to make sure. She soon received the next month’s water bill of $908. Finally, a family member came over and after much looking under the house and anywhere there was a water supply line, they found a faucet in the back yard was on and the attached hose was leaking. They turned it off and the problem was solved. My mother-in-law called the plumbing company and spoke to a young lady and told her how the man replaced two good toilet floats, didn’t look around and how much he charged. The young lady basically said there was nothing she could do. I called today and spoke to the office manager. I let him know what the service technician did when he came out and he said that if he would have talked to her, he would have come out and looked around. He also said for her to call and talk to him if she had another plumbing need. I told him my mother-in-law was a little gun-shy now of Carolina Plumbing and I didn’t think she would be calling them again. My main frustration is that the service technician didn’t look around, didn’t ask where any supply lines or outside faucets might be or look under the house at all for water leaks. In my opinion, this isn’t good customer service and borders on taking advantage of someone who doesn’t understand plumbing.

    Response from the owner

Hi James, I'm sorry you and your family were left with such a negative experience. We never want any of our customers feeling this way, and want to make sure our process is transparent. Taking a look back, the initial inquiry that came through was described as a leaking toilet thinking it was the flush valve & wondering if that could be the cause of the leak. Our technician replaced the seal where the toilet was leaking, which was why he did not inspect the rest of the plumbing fixtures. We did speak with your mother in law two more times after that; when she called in regarding some sediment in the toilets and the tub, which our technician spoke to her about, and then again about the water bill. We did offer to come investigate, but was told she would be calling a different company. We hope the issue has been resolved and her next water bill comes in lower. If you would like to discuss this further, I encourage you to reach out to our office directly at 919-779-7452
