  I had two gentlemen from this company come out to repair my hot water heater. The pilot would not stay lit. They told me the thermocouple was faulty and installed a new one. They told me that one did not work either and therefore the problem must be a faulty gas valve. They did not have one in stock and told me my best bet would be to order one from Rheem, which I did. It arrived a week later, and I was without hot water for the full week. At that time, I hired a different plumber to come out and install the gas valve. Once they did, it still wouldn’t stay lit. Upon opening up the hot water heater they realized that the two men from Ben Franklin did not install the thermocouple properly! If they had installed it properly, this would have been an open and shut case and I would’ve had my hot water one week ago! So glad I did not have Ben Franklin come back the second time. I would not hire this company if I were you, when two workers cannot seem to install one simple piece of equipment properly. Not to mention, their prices are extraordinary!
