  In October 2020, I had the technician come out to Inspect and Clean my a/c unit after having been approached in Home Depot. Upon inspection, the technician informed me that, although my a/c was functioning, it had built up rust and I would start having issues. I agreed to have a salesman come out that same day and ended up agreeing to the $10k Carrier unit. Of course I had to have it financed so am still paying on it. Approximately a month ago, my smart thermostat started to send messages that the house was not cooling properly so I contacted ARS. Although I thought I had purchased all of the upgrades, including a labor warranty, I understood that I had to pay the $99 service fee. The technician that came out informed me that the $2200 coil had leaked all of the freon out and would have to be replaced. The parts are covered under the 10 year warranty. However, the $2000 labor is not. Obviously, I don't have $2,000 just laying around so I'm sitting in a house with a $10,000 a/c that is not working. After reading the comments and seeing that others have had the same problem, I will be contacting Home Depot and having a discussion with them about the service. The unit is less than a year and a half old. For the coil to leak, we're looking at either faulty equipment or negligence in the installation, or both.

  Ricardo my technician was absolutely wonderful and thorough he worked professionally and was very accommodating and polite. I wish more technicians were like him and had his work ethic. I just wanted to give him a shout out sense he was an outstanding technician and representative of ARS through Home Depot.

  Absolutely horrible!! Do not recommend at all!! Tried to take advantage of my mom needing her AC compressor replaced. The technician suggested she purchase an ENTIRELY NEW ac unit for $3,999…. Got a second opinion and only needed the compressor replaced for less than $700 bucks! This place is an absolute scam. AND to add insult to injury- they STILL tried charging my mom to come out and get serviced- when no services were rendered. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They try to take advantage of people.
