  I called Tom for a price to come out and unclog a drain. He said he needs to look at the job before he can provide a price. He gets here and starts setting up. To my knowledge he is looking at the job, no communication. He breaks the pipes, and after all said and done he charges me for the time material and labor to replace it. He tells me i never said i would give a quote. If you use this company, be sure to get a price up front. He is not affordable and will squeeze every cent he can. Very unprofessional, using all my pots and pans to collect drain water, and he left the sink drain leak. I do not suggest this company. Very expensive

  Had Tom out to give me a quote on a bathroom tub remodel and exterior faucet replacement. Bathroom is in the basement so concrete would need to be taken out to move the drain. He said I could do the work and they would come in afterwards. I asked if he would do it and he said he would break up the concrete but wouldn’t take it away. Said I could just “toss it in my woods somewhere.” How professional. Turns out the exterior faucet was turned off from the basement and tub wasn’t possible due to size of bathroom. He came to give me a quote, but instead charged me a service fee of $125 for taking 10 seconds to turn on a valve. Not a way to get new business. Turns out I do have space for a new tub after I located a false wall. I’ll go somewhere else instead.

  Tom at Affordable Plumbing has done several projects for us; water heater replacement, toilet repair, outdoor faucet replacement and more recently a complete bathroom renovation. The prices have been very reasonable and the quality of the work has been excellent. He is highly recommended
