  Action plumbing was chosen by my elderly mother through a social affiliation to repair a sewage lift pump in her basement. As she was out of town for a couple of months I facilitated the repair details/access. After 2 visits Ralph, the technician declared the job finished and the system had been tested. As the room had been contaminated with sewage water I was told it would need a high level cleaning and they recommended Ameri-clean, who did a fine job. When I inspected the finished job I noticed the PVC fitting attaching the pump to the discharge pipe going through the wall had a 3-4 inch crack which had been glued. I took pictures. The empty house had no water usage for a month and 2 days before mom was coming home I used some water and noticed a stench in the house the next day. The crack had escalated to a rupture. Action came out and repaired it but refused to accept responsibility and refused to view/discuss the pictures I had taken to document the failure. Although they didn't charge for this 3rd visit another cleaning fee of $250 was added as the room was again contaminated with sewage. They stated their tech would NEVER perform a repair as I had described / pictured it and the no charge was because of their social affiliation and they would not cover the extra cleaning charge....the repair bill was in the thousands.
