York Mechanical have serviced my A/C and replaced my sewer ejector pump and every time their technicians(Jon and Cameron) have been knowledgeable, punctual and professional. They take the time to explain in detail the problem and the resolution. I highly recommend York Mechanical.

Wow. Used them for our warranty for our house we purchased. Our A/C kept freezing over -- before setting foot in the house or seeing the unit at all, we were told we needed a new HVAC unit and quoted an exorbitant amount. Never even stepped foot into our home. Recharged the system (did it even need done?) and left. Fast forward to a few months ago, our heating system's pilot light kept going out and we'd wake up to a cold home. Which is weird, we just had had the unit serviced (like it has for 13+ years by the same tech from a different company with no flaws) and got the okay for the season, so again we use our warranty to see if they can look at it. We were told that the unit was missing a crucial piece, and he charged 200% markup on the item to replace it the next day, but hey, we need heat. We paid our service fee and the fee for the item and were told we'd need a whole new unit altogether (surpriiise) and there is no other option. Almost $10k to do it all. We researched and found another HVAC technician, he's been great, helped us look into a few more options, and is saving us $3k. That is absolutely besides the point (although completely noteworthy.) THEY ARE TELLING THE WARRANTY COMPANY WE DID NOT PAY THE FEE. It has been MONTHS of going back and forth with "yes we will send the invoice showing they paid" and today they finally TOLD THE COMPANY WE DID NOT PAY. Yes, I understand, they don't want to receive "warranty pay" for the small work they did do. I'm sure. But c'mon, lying over $250? We also cannot use our warranty for this instance because they told the warranty company that the missing part was missing because of negligent action and was never there. False. We were informed by two other contractors that it likely burned off because of a lack of draft, and if it would have been missing altogether for months our house would have been completely covered in soot by now. It most certainly is and was not. So they also lied to get us to not use the warranty (the get paid more if they don't use warranty pay.) ALSO. I had a family member call the manager and ask questions about the cost and information about our house. I did not confirm that this was okay/approved. I know "family is family", however, as someone that has had domestic abuse situations, that is NOT okay. The person that called has a different last name from me and was never discussed with the manager/technician prior. No company should confirm address, whereabouts of a person, or finances with someone else without their confirmation, I'm sorry. That is completely unsafe and not okay. TLDR; avoid. Just don't do it.

They fixed an HVAC problem that two other companies charged me lots of money for, but never got the job done right. I now enjoy a nice cozy home!
