  Jeremy and Tyler did an outstanding job installing our Jen-air cooktop. They were very professional, neat and clean, treated our house as if it was thier own. Excellent job! However, before the installation, I spoke with Jeremy on the phone, I did not expect a firm quote but I did describe the situation to him and he said "it could be up to $650.00" When they were all finished with the install, Jeremy hid out in his work truck, Tyler, whom I had not discussed price with, presented an invoice in the amount of $1440.00!!! I about had a heart attack. I then asked Tyler "what happened to no up to $650.00?" He said he knew nothing about it and that this was thier standard charge for this job.... An electric glass top unit was removed and a propane unit with a downdraft vent was installed. Broken down, it goes something like this: Electric conv. $175.00 to take 1 leg of 220v and make 110v and add a dublex outlet with cover LP conv. $125.00 to remove 4 nat. Gas orifices and install 4 LP orifices supplied by me Gas line install: $550.00 okay, I admit, this is the reason I hired them instead of doing it myself. Ducting install $350.00 to install ducting that was supplied by me except for the vent cap at the wall, Westside provided that. To install the cooktop into the hole in the counter $195.00 To provide 3' of gas flex line $45.00 Total $1440.00 for a job that was estimated at "up to $650.00" So beware of these guys, the sticker shock might get you.
