I have used Walton's in the past and been very pleased but today is not a pleasant scenario. I called 18 days ago (the 12th) to schedule moving a toilet on the 30th. Ample time for both of us to be ready. I took the day off from work to be available all day for the plumber that would be out. They called me this morning to cancel stating that a larger job took precedence over mine? Is that any way to treat a customer? That their job isn't as important or worthy? To my family, this is VERY important. When I asked why I wasn't called prior to the day of, she laughed and said it was on the board but they just forgot. I asked if someone could be out the following day and she said not unless I pay overtime. ....this is NOT the customer's error and should not be an added expense! This entire situation was rude and horribly inconvenient. If you are the little guy, Walton's is not interested in your business these days.

They charge from the "time they dispatch a call". So they billed for their plumber for 2.5 hours but he only worked for 20 minutes, then billed another 2.5 hours for the assistant who stood there and watched for 20 minutes. Never use them. $20 part, $350 in labor for 20 minutes of work.

NEVER use Walton's Plumbing in Sterling!! Consider yourself warned! I contacted them last week about having our septic tank pumped in preparation for the new owners. They told me how much it was going to cost to do the job....or at least so I thought! ($90 for the first load and $40 for each load after that!) When I got the bill, it was nearly THREE TIMES what the original quote was! When I asked for a break down, the woman told me that they no longer do the $40 for each load after that! (Umm....WHAT?! Then why did they tell me that when I called originally?!) They were supposed to come out earlier in the day and because I wasn't home when they came, they also called their boss out to check out our system and then they charged a horrendous fee because they did all this without even communicating with us! They didn't call and let us know ANYTHING until after the fact and when they did, the owner was one of the biggest bullies on the phone to me! Yes, there were some issues with our septic system....and we have since hired someone else to take care of it (because they completely ripped us off and will never get another penny from us!) and when we let them know that we weren't going to be hiring them, he tried to bully me into telling him who we hired! (I've already heard how they intimidate and bully their competition!) He said "oh well, it will be common knowledge soon enough!" (WHAT?! :O ) The company we hired to take care of our septic system was completely honest and up front with us.... and his estimate is ONE THIRD of what Walton's was! Either be up front with your customers or lose business! It's pretty simple! Shady business dealings and bullies! Stay away!
