I don't believe a word of any of these negative reviews. I have had Rich personally work on plumbing issues for me over the last ten years. He is extremely nice, straight forward, and inexpensive. By far, the best priced and nicest plumber I have ever had. I moved from Wauwatosa to Mequon two years ago and I just called Rich twenty minutes ago due to a failed sump pump. Rich is great. Believe it.

I think Rich has had a bad run of customers because I in no way felt pushed into paying for better quality when I had my bathroom sink repaired and replaced. My family has worked with Rich in the past as well and never had any issues with the cost being too high or with discrepancies on the price of the job.

If you are in need of a plumber and are considering Village Plumbing, think again. Rich Wegner of Village Plumbing, "Master Plumber" license #226989, is a real piece of work. This unscrupulous "Master Plumber" has no problem ripping off senior citizens or anyone else unfortunate enough to *assume* that he is a credible human being. Rich came out to make a simple repair to a "toilet not flushing" issue which was either too difficult for him to correct the first or second time and required a third visit in less than a week, or he simply enjoys milking his customers every few days at $100 a pop just for showing up. With his excessive mark ups on parts and the cost of labor x 3 visits, the entire toilet could have been replaced with a brand new Kohler with money to spare. He did a half assed job and when questioned him about it, he said that, "I just did what I was told to do." Considering his customer was an 88 year old disabled woman on a fixed income, I would have expected him to at least recommend replacing the damn thing or perhaps doing the job correctly the first time. If you must use Rich Wegner, "Master Plumber" (what a joke) and have no other options, be CERTAIN to have him guarantee his work and give you a firm price in advance before you agree to have any work done by him. Otherwise you might as well just "flush" your money right down the toilet. Also, keep in mind that he archives your name, credit card number, expiration date and 3 digit code on the back and will charge your credit card regardless of your level of dissatisfaction. Be sure to check your credit card statement regularly as I would not put it past him to "accidently" double bill. I would pay by check ONLY and use him only as a last resort.
