I have a cabin on the Gunflint Trail that needed the heating elements replaced on the water heater. On the initial contact I was told it would be a couple of weeks. I asked them to contact me a couple of days before service so I could open the cabin for them. Never heard back so after 3 weeks called them again. Was told it would be at least a few weeks if not a month or more. I asked them if they could give me any idea at all. I was told they won't go up that far from Grand Marais unless they have other work. I wish they would have declined the work in the first place instead of wasting my time. I decided to do the work myself.

I am feeling very frustrated. I have been extremely patient and understanding that Viking plumbing is very stressed and busy. However, I called in AUGUST (its now mid December!) And was told it would be three weeks. After 5 I called back and was told they had a very good reason to be behind and it would be a few more weeks. I waited patiently and after a few weeks had passed I began trying to call once every week-week and a half. There was no way to leave a message. The phone wasn't answered during business hours or the hours were erratic. Again, I understand things are tough and busy. Friday December 11th, I finally got through to ask where I was on the list. I am a single mother of 3 children and I have plumbing issues that are making bathing, washing clothes, and dishes very difficult. I asked to see where I was on the list and was told that they tried to reach me October 1st. That they had left a message. I asked what number was called and it had been copied down wrong. No apology. I was told I should maybe find someone else. I asked when I could be gotten in, and was told it would be more weeks, that he has a half day the next week but she didn't think he could get to me to even diagnose. I find this unacceptable. People who called significantly later than me have already been helped. I asked to get a day scheduled. The lady told me she had to ask the plumber. I asked to be called back that day and she told me she would be gone before he returned. I asked to be called Monday and was told he would be gone before she arrived. I called 4 times Monday with no answer or option to leave a message. I do not understand how the two could not be in contact to get back to me out of courtesy especially given that a *mistske* was made by no fault of mine. I am feeling very frustrated and disappointed and like I am not valued in any way. I am trapped in a situation with no other options. Had I known i would have been told FOUR MONTHS later that I should find someone else, I would have done so a long time ago.
