  We've used Unique Plumbing for a long time, and they've done quality work, and we've referred a bunch of people over the years, so it was very disappointing for services they provided that took less than 2 hours from walking into the house to leaving, and the charge was basically $600. I'd called to discuss with them, and they basically said our rates are up and thus it is what it is. I understand rates go up, but basically $300/hour for their time was quite a bit over the top of the going rate for plumbers time, and I could have had the work done elsewhere for about half that price. It was very disappointing response for someone that's been a customer for over 10 years. So, if you don't mind paying 50 - 100% the going rate, you will get quality work from them. EDIT -- Response to the owner-- If you change your pricing methodology, then you might want to alert long term customers that they may want to get an estimate first, because the pricing changed from what you've had in the past, especially when the difference can be substantial. I mean we basically had been with you long enough that we trusted you enough to not ask for an estimate. Lastly, yeah we didn't provide prior reviews when we were satisfied but we did provide many referrals to you.

  Mr. & Mrs. Randy Weiser We are sorry that you feel this way. We do appreciate the years of work and referrals. With that said cost in the industry has increased significantly in the last couple of years and we have begun pricing our work by the job not hourly. With over 30 years of experience in what we do, we can complete jobs in a timelier manner than most technicians. What we can accomplish in 1 hour would take a lesser skilled technician 3-4 hours to complete. This is how we average our by the job rate so not to short ourselves due to our experience or sit on a job longer to compensate cost. We have done this job recently with other customers with no complaint. We are one of the few companies left that offer a free estimate before work is done. We would have advised at that time what the cost of the work would be. From your review I do not see that workmanship or job was not completed to satisfaction, only the cost which was never asked. We appreciate all of our valved customers and their feedback but find it ironic in 10 years the first review we received from you was a 1-star rating. At this time, we apologize you feel the price is too much. We are not a handyman service we are a licensed and bonded company. If there is anything further, we can do in the future we will be happy to quote with a free estimate.

  Robb came out and replaced a leaking upstairs shower drain that was leaking thru my ceiling. He did a Great job. He was a very nice guy and it was a good experience doing business with this company. I highly recommend them.

  They did a great job fixing my plumbing problems. They arrived on time and left everything cleaner than it was when they got here. I would highly recommend them.
