Kenny from Trap Masters came out to install a new water tank the day after we called! We have a toddler and we were in urgent need of hot water as our other tank broke on us. Brian, the owner, made it happen as fast as possible! Great service.

My husband and I have used Trapmasters for years however we have had to stop using them because they will not stand by their work or follow up. The work that Trapmasters has completed for us in two properties over 10 years includes, filling a hole in a vertical grey water line, replacing toilets, replacing gaskets in our standing showers, installing new sinks, doing every bit of plumbing for a new basement bathroom, cutting in an ejector pit, fixing an ejector pit pump, digging and connecting a new grey water line from our home to the city line, closing a main grey water line permanently, snaking and dropping a camera through our plumbing lines out to the road and replumbing every grey water line to go from one side of our house to the other. We are extremely unlucky when it comes to plumbing, but that was fine because we had great plumbers. We knew almost every plumber on staff, and we enjoyed tipping them individually for their extra efforts on our property. We purchased a new (to us) home in Valpo October 2016 and found out after closing that the main grey water line away from the house had broken and settled delivering our water back into our basement. This line went under our driveway. To remedy the problem, we had all of the grey water rerouted from the south end of the house (at basement floor level) to the north (at chest height level) – a new grey water line was dug from the side of our home to the main line at the street. The only bummer about this was that we knew when we decided to finish the basement an ejector pit would need to be installed (lifts water from basement floor into exiting line). Fast forward to a year and a half later and we decided to finish our basement. We hired Trapmasters to come out and install the ejector pit for the etched in bathroom and put in the later lines for the basement toilet and basement sink. We needed all of their work to be complete before the drywall was installed. Fast forward 3-4months, basement is complete, and the ejector pit pump stops working. Causing water to run out of the ejector pit in the unfinished portion of the basement into the newly finished portion. Trapmasters comes out and informs me that the float was caught on congealed fat. So, after installing the ejector pit the plumbers took the kitchen sink and dishwasher off of the grey water line and had it drop into the ejector pit, which they never needed to do as it had never been a problem on the regular grey water line out of the house, but additionally they failed to inform us as homeowners that this was done. (To be transparent, I was not supremely careful with fat off meat up until this point. I was draining the vast majority into the garbage but didn’t wipe pans clean of fat before washing them in our sink or dishwasher obviously that happens now.) This is by far the most egregious offense, there are other issues, but we have lived around them, but this one is incredibly frustrating. Mostly because we cannot fix it. The owner of Trapmasters argues (aggressively) that he can't fix it because that line needs a drop (which this cannot be true because it left our home perfectly fine for nearly two years prior to the ejector pit being installed) and now that the basement is finished the plumbing is extremely difficult to get to likely requiring the drywall to be cut out to fix the line and “we will not fix your drywall”. Lastly the owner has been very challenging to communicate with. We have called and talked to him directly and he is verbally aggressive – which means I am now too intimidated to have him in our home, but that doesn’t matter anyway because he has ghosted us every time with “I’ll have to get back to you”, “I’ll call you in an hour”, and “I’ll call to schedule something with you in the next couple days”. He never calls back. We will now have to hire two companies to fix this and a few other problems he left us with, a plumber and a drywaller.

On recommendation from my parents, I hired Trapmasters to install a tank less water heater after our last one died. They were fast at coming by and giving us a quote as well as getting us scheduled. They were quick and to the point as well as the best quote. This was in comparison to another plumbing company who quoted us double the price for the same water heater and were less than truthful about several different aspects. It is refreshing to have a job done with no hassle. Job well done Trapmasters!
