  Update to previous 5-star rating. We have used Tierney Plumbing for several projects around the house with great results. Recently, we had them out to install a new hot water heater. I assumed the install and valve/pipe replacement comprehensive cost (not cheap) would include all materials required to pass inspection. However, the city inspector did not approve the install due to deficient insulation around the water lines above the tank (which they replaced in the install). After speaking with Tierney, I was told I would have to pay the additional cost to meet the city code and I assume another man-hour to do what should have been completed originally. Unfortunate to lose a customer over $10 insulation materials.

  I am usually leery about the various plumbing services most of them will try to rob you blind. I recently moved to Dallas and have used them twice before. What impressed me the most today was that when I came home, I was informed by my wife that there is no hot water in the system. I checked and the leak detection system was showing Red. I reset it and few mins later it turned red again and no water. I am not very handy with the water heater etc. I called Tierney Plumbing service to schedule an appointment. As I was describing the problem the lady asked me a couple of questions and when she learned that m leak detection system have batteries she told me to replace the batteries and it will fix the problem. I did the same and Voila it started working. I am pretty sure most of the other places would have made an appointment and charged me a trip charge and hourly money to do just the same. I am sold for life. These are the plumbers for me from now on for ever.
