Doug came to our home this morning to unclog our drain and we are so grateful! We’ve been dealing with this problem since the day we moved into our house last month, and we attempted to fix it ourselves multiple times. Our home warranty sent The Plumbing Works out here and Doug was incredibly professional, kind and quick at unclogging our drain. It’s so nice to have my sink back. Thank you so much!

I have used The Plumbing Works for most of my plumbing jobs since 1991. Never had to call them to repeat a job. Always polite. They work clean without leaving a mess. Payments by check or credit card have all cleared without problem. Each appointment has been kept as promised. Only times I have not used them are when they were scheduled out for many months due to a hard long freeze here in Eugene so many businesses and homes had scheduled repairs. Another time the required installation was not one they had staff to complete. Billings have been as estimated except when obvious old plumbing pipes were corroded badly needing more work inside walls than originally expected. I run a foster home for disabled adults so it is possible I used a plumber a bit more often than most due to poor decisions by brains that are less than optimal. First three installs in 1992 were pressure balanced shower valves to prevent repeated on off faucet play from freezing then scalding people during showers. An excellent upgrade if I might recommend anything.

Update below... Wouldn't warranty his work. In our home buying process, our realtor's home warranty company chose The Plumbing Works to fix a leaking hot water valve for the washing machine. The Plumbing Works invoiced $65 for the service call and $.08 for a seal. Our closing date got pushed back so when I moved in and hooked up the washing machine, I turned on the hot water valve and it immediately leaked! So I called The Plumbing Works because I figured they would want to make it right. I was informed that since their "repair" had been performed more than 30 days ago, there was no more warranty. Despite the fact that they were the last ones to even touch the valve - nothing had been done to the valve since they "repaired" it. Literally nobody was even in the house, let alone hooked up a wash machine. I lost all confidence in this for that reason and when my home warranty company wanted to call them to repair it again - I said no. UPDATE: The sellers agent got the home warranty during the listing/selling process. The leaking valve was discovered as part of the home inspection process. The warranty company sent The Plumbing Works to repair the valve. Our closing date was pushed back. Upon closing, the warranty was reissued in our name. Thirty days had lapsed and you stated there was no warranty of your work because of that. Simple fact remains; the valve was not fixed and no one had touched it since your repair. Sticking to a thirty day warranty clause in this situation has lost your company my business and earned a one star review. Thanks for responding and stay well also.

I have looked on the computer and cannot find your name anywhere. I do know that a contract under the home warranty company is between the homeowner and the home warranty company. There would have been a contract signed by both parties detailing length of warranty on any work done and coverage. I am a vendor that operates under the home warranty guidelines on how long the warranty on work is. So, if you were to call us about that situation, I would have told you to call the home warranty company. They would be the one to open a work order for us to come back out. Give me a call if you have any questions. Stay safe Doug Schirmer, Owner Update.... Whether the home warranty contract is in someone else's name or yours does not change the facts stated in my first reply. Your contract and any warranty on work is between you and your home warranty company. Please read your contract with them and if you have any questions give them a call for further explanation. Regards, Doug Schirmer, Owner
