I had a clogged drain, called Star and they came and evaluated the situation. It was beyond what they do, the drain needed to be replaced. They gave me names of several plumbers. I called one and had the drain repaired the next day. Star was honest with me and I appreciate how they helped resolve the issue.

The young man was very pleasant and professional. I had a very stubborn blockage, but he continued to open line.. and he got it done! Star drain is the one to call, in my opinion!

These guys are awesome!! Not only did they get my drain cleaned out, after they left it plugged up and they promptly came right back and went right back to work free of charge. I highly recommend these guys!!

I had a Horrible Experience with the senior owner, when they came to clear our drain. He never introduced himself (why I dont have his name). He immediately was confrontational with me about why my drain was taken apart, which was done by a handy man (who refers to them) earlier in the day. He TOLD ME to put it back together (something I would be lost trying to do) Then was mad that I used Draino. (Again the handyman called them, Idk that was against the rules). Then made my wife reach in the sink to unplug the drain since they "had sleeves."
I then called to file a formal complaint and dispute the bad weather charge (which was 2X higher than they said) and a $40 mileage fee. I explained that they are within 10miles of me, and their mileage fee is $2.50 per mile. The woman on the phone said they took the long way (There is no long way. I know my town and the roads to newton). They drove "16 miles." Genuinely not true. THIS ISNT THE WORST PART YET.
She then said that her boss was having a bad day, due to snow, and he admitted to taking it out on me and my wife (Who were super accommodating and kind). She refuses to reduce the $40. I explained that I went to work on the "Bad weather day" and didn't charge my patients any extra for taking a detour to get to work (even though I know they didn't drive extra). She asks what I do. Explaining I'm a dentist, she then says I don't understand because I don't use equipment outside. After I explain that the drain guys worked inside our house and not outside. She then insulted my job saying that patients must get upset at my fees, but I don't change them. To which I responded that we explain what our fees are beforehand, treating the patient respectfully and compassionately, WHICH THE OWNER ADMITTED TO NOT DOING. All I wanted was for them to honor their word with the weather charge, and for the mileage fee to make sense with their drive. I regret allowing them into my home and will dissuade anyone I can to find a different service other than Star Drain Cleaning.

For the second time in a year my house has required drain service. Both times it has been Star Drain to the rescue. Their fast, efficient service from the first time had me calling them again, not to mention the friendly service. Thank you Star Drain!

Saturday at 4 pm, freezing cold out, our main drain decides to clog. Call placed at 5 pm, they had Stan come out.. He was there in less than an 30 minutes! Yes it was 280 dollars but for how quick and efficient everything was, I'd definitely recommend Star. Stan was very knowledgeable and quick. Highly recommend.

Stan was very professional & helpful. He gave us good tips on how to keep our pipes clean & explained to us how to install a clean out pipe. And even for him coming out in the weekend the rate was very reasonable! Will use then from now on!

We needed help with our shower drain shortly before moving six hours away, so we were on a time crunch.  Star Drain was able to send someone out within a couple of hours at no extra charge.  Ray was kind and professional and got the issue taken care of--plus, he cut our bill in half!  I have used Star Drain several other times and always had favorable results.  If we were still in Newton, I would definitely call them again!

Clean, professional, quick. They were able to get me in same day - within just a few hours of calling, really. They fixed the clog and helped trouble shoot the reason behind the clog, which required a plumber.

9/3/2019.  Chris showed up within a couple hours, just as promised.  He was efficient and professional, explaining everything he was doing(since I watched with curiosity.) The Bill was about $30 cheaper than we thought it would be.  Have Chris a tip and thanked him for his hard work.    I highly recommend Star Drain.   Chris, keep up the fine work!
