  No customer service, bad service. Went in to buy some 5/8" washers. They had no boxes of washer but a large quantity in the bin. A box of 25 was $7.49 or $0.44 each... I was looking to buy all they had. I used their little baggies and put 25 in each to get the bulk price. I ended up with 100 washers, or 4 "bags" of 25. I wrote down the bin number and price on one of the bags and took them to the counter to pay. The older lady said how many and what's the price. I told her there were 25 in each bag and showed her the price per 25. She said they aren't in a box so you have to pay the price per washer. I said there are no boxes, they were dumped out of the boxes when stocked. I told her I'm not going to pay and extra $16 because they were not in boxes, and I walked out.. I now know to never go there again.

  I feel bad when store owners cannot do what is right for the customer to build their business. I recently purchased some large brass fittings at a standard plumbing in SLC and got home to find out that they are too small. So I went to the evanston location to spend even more money and was told that they would sell me the right ones but not give me any credit for the others. When I asked why I began to get excuses like "it's money out my door" and "different state taxes". In the end I let the owner know that these were all just excuses and the real problem is that she just didn't want to return them. I run a multi million dollor store with over 90 associates and there is two philosophies I teach every employee of mine. The first is "Always, Make it right" and the second is "the customer had no problem buying an item so why can't they return it with no problem". I am sorry to say you have lost my business and I will be letting everyone I come into contact with the you are not worth doing business with.
